The TechOne Venus looks amazing! It looks like lots of thought went into that design. Very sleek and clean lines. They did a nice job of tucking away the electronics too. Great hardware also. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

Best looking foamy I've seen in a while. Tech One seems to improve with every release.

Get Real? Do you have one? Looking forward to your review.

I think TechOne is just taking pre-orders from dealers right now. I haven't got a release date yet myself. I'm thinking of taking a leap of faith and pulling the trigger on some. It'd be nice to have some available for the start of the indoor season.

Having a prob finding a 2206-1500 motor. Not even listed on their website. Nothing matching at HK, Grayson, HPartz, or Ken's site, RCPlanebuilders.com. Anybody have any info? If I could get specs, might find something that matches at least.O.K., finally found it. It's a Tiger (I think that's Techone's standard) http://www.rctigermotor.com/show.php?contentid=139 Might start shopping for a price or a substitute. Anybody know anything about the Tigers? Pros & cons would be helpful.

I haven't tried the AT2206 but I run the Tiger T2006 1900KV motor in the Mini Tempo and the AT2216 in the big Tempo. They are high quality and powerful motors!

The T2006 is definitely my favorite motor in it's size range. I run it with a 3S pack and 8040HD prop and it pulls the 9oz Mini Tempo with authority. Both the thrust and pitch speed are spot on for how I like to fly now days. It's very responsive.

The AT2216 performs very similar to my Suppo 2217 motors. I haven't put the meter on them, but I do get a slight bit more flight time with the Tiger. I think it is a bit more efficient.

I have pricing from TechOne on the Venus but I have to wait until they get box sizes/weights before they can quote me shipping. Shipping can be a significant cost on these planes, even if you buy in large quantity.

They do not offer the Venus without motor. They offer them with motor and prop or fully setup with everything except RX.

They expect to start shipping the Venus sometime mid October.
