B-29 superfortress parkflyer

hey gang, I just picked up a cool B-29 parkflyer off ebay. It has four motors and included the radio (2 channel). It uses motor speed to control altitude and turnng. The detail seems really good too. I did a search here amd didnt find any info. Does anyone else have this plane? If you are interested here is a pic. I sure hope it flies decent,it only cost 58.00, seemed like a deal if it will fly. do a search on ebay for B-29 and youll see the details.

I would modify it for three channels, that would be very cool! otherwise it looks awesome!

it seems to be built a lot like GWS planes, so I am hoping it will be somewhat modifiable. it comes with charger and battery pack, so at least i can try different batteries easy. here are some more pics I found.

Dude, that is so not scale it is cruel!!!

Looks cool tho.

But make it four channel. Ailerons would make it fly and look right in the air.

well as far as the throttle turning is concerned, the real plane uses engines to steer on the ground, so I dont think thats so bad, plus the lighter weight from not having servos. hmmm...whats not to scale about it? looks cool from few feet away...

...and if the 2channels dont work, then hopefully can rip that out and put in the gws radio and servos, and do the ailerons and elevator.
I also have a GWS Corsair on the way to be the fighter escort for the B-29.

I just paid for it today, so hopefully it will ship out tomorrow. I'm on the opposite coast from the seller, so i would think at least 5 business days for it to get here. I'm really excited about this one. I will post my findings when i get it and spend 15 minutes assembling it (thats what they say). keep watching this space..

Hmm. I wonder how it would perform with the r/c gutted and replaced by a standard 3 channel. I wonder how the ESC/ESC's would be setup.

Any idea what motors are used? The ad doesn't mention it. It should be an experience flying. Congratulations on your purchase. It'd be great to see some video if you have the resources and get the opportunity.

This little SuPeRfOrT is BEGGING for some hop-ups and mods! Do you know who the manufacturer is? Some Lipo's and added channels could be SWEET!

That thing does look cool if u did add more channels you could mount the wings lower where they're supposed to be, and make it so u can drop a peanut out of it lol. Very cool looking plane

It'll fly like the Hasbro Air Surfer, probably. My Air Surfer has buttons instead of sticks on the Tx so you can just tap them for control input. How are the sticks arranged? Both forward for full power on each side? That's gonna be tricky. Let us know how it flies.
