As for information about brushless conversions i refere to the walkera genius guru, BenMLee http://benmlee.com/Genius_Brushless.htm
Thanks but tutorials aren't much good if i can't get the parts in the first place. The online stores that have been recommended by someone from the philippines don't have those motors.

I've sent emails to a couple of shops if they have c05's. Tho one of them specializes in planes so there's not much hope in that.

The only one with sufficient explanation refers to brushless tail motors not being able to change speed fast enough to keep up with the gyro commands. However, the video that demonstrated a brushless motor, had to put in *TWO* tail motors to keep up with the main motor.

How about this one?

i have no clue on extra motors, any specific reason you cant order from china. say from terence at chinese jade?

On a completely unrelated note, how the heck do you remove the blade grips. iv removed the screw inside the grip but i still cannot separate the blade grip from the feathering shaft/bearings. Are they glued together when they ship mini/genius cp's?

I have nearly a complete set of parts to replace head/grips/mainshaft/motor/gear but i need the bearings .
Im completely grounded until i can fix it as vibrations are effing up my gyro to the point its making random corrections that make my mini jump around in the air.

If the Mini works anything like the Genius, there's a tiny screw on each end of the feathering shaft holding the blade grips on. You need to use the two tiny allen wrenches that come with the heli, simultaneously, to unscrew them.

Concerning the allen wrenches for the feathering shaft, does anyone know where to buy an extra set?

Then somethings very wrong with mine as iv unscrewed one of those allen screwes yet the grips are still seated rock solidly on the featheringshaft. If mine has been glued I'm going to be seriously depressed as I'll have to order spare bearings from china.

The Allen keys are in size .035" or 0,9mm

Some time they use to much thread locking and that end up on the bearings.
See if you can remove the screw on the other side and dismount the rotor head that way.

The only hobby store available here is this guy.

http://helitrex.multiply.com/

Do you see anything there i can use?

Also, have you actually had experience with the brushless kit? Or are you referring to 2nd (or third) hand? Do you know a discussion or review of the brushless kit? I'm still googling for more info on exactly what's wrong with it. So far all of them have been like yours. Do not get the brushless, but no explanation on why.

What's wrong with it? Does it burn out as fast as the brushed? Is it weaker than brushed? What? Please note that what i'm after is durability. I'm going to be on my fourth brushed motor soon, which by my count, would then be more expensive than the brushless kit. I'm on my third motor after a weeks worth of flying (1st and 2nd motor lasted an average of three days each!). If the brushless kit can last two weeks, and no more hassle, it's already beaten the stock. I'm not after uber performance.
Screws line up. Had no problem with the 1.5m shaft motors but 1 1m shaft motor bell housing came loose.

This will work, but not with stock battery.

& you need this to solder to other side of RX opposite battery plug for ESC.

Or for lower price but a little more work like soldering plugs on putting on a pinion, stock pinion works which is a 9 tooth but 8T is the best match.

Nice tail blade which holds tail better with BL setup.

Found this after googling. Which ones do i need?

http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera43BLMotorEsc.htm

I see a c05 and a 9t pinion gear. Which ESC?

If the local hobby shop doesn't have one, i'll try that. Thanks.

This would be great if it weren't for the fact that it's US based.

I tried ordering from hobbyking before. I can't remember why but the order didn't get through and that's when i got pointed to banggood. I'll try again.

BTW, why does the heli keep going left? Isn't the gyro supposed to compensate for that? Do i have to change a setting on the TX? Even if i do the reset trick, i still need to trim it 20%. Would it get worse with the brushless?

Too much time in a bar.

So as I'm having a drink, I look at a cocktail straw and say to myself "I've got a use for that!"
Fit perfect over the wires wrapped on the tail boom of my Hard Shell MGCP. Shows up great in the sun.

Regards,

RD

Waiting for email from one of the guys to check his stock and get back at me. If he doesn't have it, i'm ordering.

@Xermalk
I thought walkera stuff was bad? So the esc's are still ok?

And what's the difference between a tail esc and regular esc?

-Walkera Speed Controller for Tail Brushless Motor 10A-LT
-C05M/ADH50 Outrunner Brushless Motor
-9T Pinion (for 1mm Shaft)
-Genius CP Battery (3.7V 350mAh 25C)

This is everything right?

PS: Wait. If i stick the battery into the motor where's the heli going to get its power? Do i need to get some sort of Y-Splitter too?

If you want the minimum amount of soldering you need a y splitter. Just add a couple of extra battery connectors to your cart and make one yourself.

The walkera ecs is the easiest way to do the brushless conversion, all you do is plug it in and solder the 3 motor wires (test first so you get it spinning in the correct direction). Its not as good as using a xp 7a or the other ecs'es but needs less work. Also the other ecs'es might need calibration before they start to work.

As for pinions 9t its ok, but battery time will not be as good as with a 7t or 8t, finding one of these is annoying though.

I will be putting mine together on a mini today, though might have to send it to my soldering guy as im not particullarly good at soldering/wiring (i hate soldering tiny wires), and i want the weight to be lower. + i forgot to grab a y connector

Hi

I know that you don't askt me but.
No C05M go for the C05.

Ā tail ESC take motor pulses as controls signal.
Ā Walkera main motor ESC uses servo signal.
And go for a 8toth pinion.

And yes you need to do a connection similar to a Y-cable.

Regards
Paul

There's a cable set right under the walkera esc that includes both a Y-Cable and a 3 prong plug which i presume is the one that the motor will be soldered to.

Still waiting for that email. I'm resisting the urge to hit the paypal button until i get the word from the local seller.
