The dimensions of the motor are the same, but you cannot use the tail boom, which is approximately 1.76 mm, and the tail motor holder. You can only use the tail motor. That's not bad for $2.99.
Tried the bravo sx tail motor and it fits into the genius tail motor holder perfectly and it uses the same polarity and works quite well, it's slightly better in performance too, it really zips the tail around compared to my other genius.

The main shaft of the bravo sx motor is 2mm shorter, but the base of the genius tail blade still clears the motor body and base of the shaft by 1mm, so it may save the tail motor shaft from being bent (as what happened with mine) and the bravo sx tail motor wires need to be lengthened by another 1 inch to solder onto the genius tail motor plug to reach the pcb socket. The bravo tail motor wires are easier to get into the tail boom too, because of their smaller wire diameter. So, if one was desperate for parts, one could use a Solo Pro, Bravo Sx or Xieda 9958 tail motor (but the Xieda 9958 motor is a little underpowered compared to the BravoSX motors).

To look at it, you'd never know it was from a Bravo Sx, save for the shorter motor shaft, it's an all round perfect retro fit.

What's the advantage? What do I have to do to retrofit?

Thanks for the response, BTW.

I wouldn't call it a retrofit. Just cut the wires and solder the new tail motor wires in. Just don't shove the tail rotor in too far.

a retro fit is using a part designed for another vehicle, that may be an upgraded or better part than the original.

flew the genious with the mini cp frame, flies good, flies smooth, flies great. i did not think it would work out when i first started the project but looks like i pulled it off. i am glad i do not have to deal with the origianl frame anymore (never liked the single body design and horrible battery tray/style) sincere thanks to you guys for helping me out with the project, i could not have done it without you.

I have on the BL C05M but not the stock brushed. On the BL I ran 7, 8 & 9T, I prefer the 8T.

Yes, I tried a 7T but it didn't have enough punch. I think the 8T is a perfect match for the stock motor and even an HP05.

Good Luck, Don

They want $31.80 each. Typical price for a Genius servo is between 14.90 to 16.50. Xheli.com sells servos for $15 each, subtract 7% for coupon code XHFather (expires June 18).
