On rtf out of the box it really can go either way even if the heli has been double checked from my experience. It will come with a book. If it doesnt fly well out of the box it will usually be do to heli mechanical setup and not the programming.

Thanks,
Travis
If you just want to fly a 6 channel with it why not get the Devo 6 combo for a lot less?
It's a great little radio that does all the things you need........

Programing wise they are close to the same but does the devo 6 have more than one model or is it just the one like I thought?

If not, multiple model memory is very nice to have. Alot of times I have two model setups for one heli... And if not another spot to put a new heli

Ok let me think about this.
The Dev7
1) Quad-bearing
2). Adopted core technology of DEVO 12
3 ) 2 Model Type: Helicopter and Airplane got. Improved programming, with more Mixes and better the interface Program the MIX, the MIX to Throttle for.
4) 7-point curve
5). the Fifteen-model memory
6 ) Online update funcation: Enjoying the update to the latest program and the copy the model data the text together.

2801pro has

1 ) 4 Hot keys
2 ) 3 Model Type: Helicopter, Glider, and Airplane.
3 ) Eight model memory's
4 ) Five point curves
5 ) LCD display of the WK-2801 is the simple to understand

So how is it better?

You may not like it, but that don't mean you have to run it threw the mud and make stuff up.

Is the 6 and 8 better, yes for $100 to $140 more

Who's making stuff up? As far as ease of use it is a serious step down.....

For being an almost identical faceplate to the 2801s they sure took a dive when they chose the user interface and screen.... But that is why it is so much cheaper.

The Devo 7 is hard to program but has nice features. It only displays 5 characters and two lines of writing at one time.
Look at these vids:

Walkera Devo 7 TX - Menu Navigation (3 min 54 sec)

Walkera Devo 7 TX - Setup Part 1 (2 min 5 sec)

Theres two more if you go to youtube.

Now here is the devo 6/8 screen:

Walkera Devention 8 and 6 Radios Review Part II (8 min 6 sec)

Yup that you do. I get too many new heli's to want to have harder time programming so I need something that is quick and easy.

The devo7 is great for a price point just not ultra user-friendly. Why they didn't put a similar interface to the 2801 is beyond me.

Though still if you compare a devo7 to a mcpx rtf tx it is a true gem in interface and programming

for the price, yes, its worth the time and effort to program it properly.
for someone who wants the use easier, suggest going with 6/8 its much easier.
As for the 2801, Great ease to program. just when it comes to buttons VS touchscreen its a person to person story.

I did have to change the top switches on mine so I would not confuse them when using my 7C

After speeding my brushless motor up to 80% at M-L and pulling the tail blade away from the motor (I think the plastic tabs were hitting the motor winding's) A lot of the glitches got to be not as intense, but are still there.

The glitches you are getting might be vibration related or EMI from the brushless main, or neither of those things.
The GCP 4in1 seems to be very sensitive to vibration, even vibes we cannot feel or see and may only start at a particular motor rpm.
I came across a very interesting article on Runryder about glitching and one heli owner found by using an EMI meter that his motor was emanating a strong interference field which was upsetting anything in the vicinity. He found that by "grounding" the motor, it immediately vanished. This was achieved by running a light wire from one of the motor mounting screws (a small lug under the screw head) to the negative terminal of the battery or esc.
Others with the same glitching problem tried it and it solved their problem also.
Sometimes funny little issues occur with these machines and it can be hard to track down a definite cause.

Did you change them by programming or by phisicaly moving the switch?
