My question concerns tail trim. I am having to dial in full right tail trim to get it to hold. It will stay but I have even had to resort to 150 clicks of right rudder sub trim and bind with full left trim travel to give me enough right travel to hold. I know this is not normal but can't find any rx rudder adjustment and so have to use just tx methods. Any advice appreciated.

when i binded mine for the first time it was doing the same thing and i found out i had the rudder channel reversed.....it needs to be set to normal...

Looks like I'm gonna hold off on the Genius for a while. Just had my 2nd crash with my V120D02 due to a serious malfunction with my ~1 month old 2801 Pro. No, not blaming TX for my poor flying skills. I've shredded several sets of blades with no help from TX, these 2 were different & troubling.

Perhaps some long time Walkera fans could comment on my problem. WARNING! Long post here

Thanks Bob I'll try that.

helicraze, where do I get a 2801 Pro for $99? And is shipping something like $50?

Got $140 + shipping in current TX from WOW. Considering the level of support I've received, would not mind trying a different source...

Thanks
Ed

Hi Jason.

I'll check that again but the rotor seems to have clearance on the motor can.

The 2801 is tempting, but I can't help but think that the Genius might be one of the last Walkera's to have an rx for it and that it will be Devo only very soon.

I have a dozen blades here and they all weigh between 1.71 and 1.72 grams.

The 03 blades are 19.5mm wide where as the genus are 16mm so probably have much different lift properties - when it comes to thickness at the shank to fit the blade holders both are just under 3mm so should fit OK - using the calipers to gage the actual thickness the 03 blades are 2mm where as the genius is only 1.2mm.

so its really a case of try the genius blades and see if they will work for you - my gut feeling is they will probably do the job but not give as much lift as the 03 blades - and the 03 is quite an heavy machine.

Regards David

I'm running zippy 240s that I had sitting and they fit and they work great.

Woot!

That sounds like a crazy good price on what is, IMHO, a terrific "intermediate" level radio set.
