Yes big Al let me borrow his E-AVA to fly in the contest. A 10 sec launch window is a long time to make a flight plan.

I don't like to fly other peoples planes but the two times that I did I actually did really well. Maybe I should do it more often?

Al please forgive me you are right "WE". I am blessed to have friends like you Big Al. It is times like this that make this hobby fun! I had a blast flying my first ALES contest and hope to fly more with the new E-Oculus!

Don't worry about it, you talked about the Oculus and you talked about soaring...so the bases are covered.

More Oculus flying yesterday. Quite relaxing after my last few days of qualifying races for US Team F3F, to say the least. Ill do a few more comments, since I got in a lot more time on her.
Heres what I found:
The Oculus flies perfect!
Check with Merrill on hook location, as mine was too far back, and I moved mine forward to reign her in. Probably just me...
Follow Merrills advice on what covering to use. I totally blew it, and I kind of new it while I was doing it, but...so I will be re doing at least the underside of the wings...definately me on this one!

Thats my story and Im sticking to it.
