iv just bought a flyfly bae hawk 90mm.has anyone got any good power setups ie motors/esc Warhead 3545-1350KV EDF Motor 90mm would this be any good its from hobby king.com and what lipo to use

Good choice foamy, probably the best 90mm EDF trainer you can buy. This is my bungee launcher version, running on 6S. Lot of space to fit any battery configuration. I use Wemotec/ARC3675-1/80amp ESC, but I use it now only as 6S. My other model (black) with the landing gear I mainly flew on 8S fell apart mid air because I have not reinforced the wing with C/F spar. As a 6S set up I would not worry but it is a must for 8S upgrade. Use some good metal gear servos on Elevator for play free operation. Joe.

Matters what blade blade your Fly Fly fan is, if it's the 7 blade it should work on 6s for around 90 amps (make sure to get amp meter) for 6+ pds of thrust.

If it's the 6 blade fan you can get around up to 6pds of thrust with a 1700 or 1800 kv motor on 6s\80amps.

Both of the aforementioned motors will work well with the HK 90\100 amp ESC, use a spark resistor...those HK escs will take some amps, they don't like hook up spark though and a spark resistor is really cheap insurance.

Both of those set ups should give some good decent speed for the price, the CMP T-45 can go over 100mph with 5.5 pds of push. The CMP t-45 is a composite plane though....both set ups should cruise around on 5s 3300 mah bats too.

Like Jofro said, reinforce it with CF (hk sells that too)...for some reason t-45s beg you to fly em fast
