Flyzone Focke-Wulf FW 190

I just received the latest TowerTalk from Tower Hobbies and it shows a new Focke-Wulf FW 190 from Flyzone in foam, they call it AeroCell...looks like EPO.

It features operational flaps and retracts, micro servos, brushless motor and ESC.

They are offering it in RXR and RTF...$189.99 and $269.97 respectively.

Wingspan: 44.5 inches
Length: 39 inches
RTF weight: 2.5 lbs
Battery: 11.1v 1800mah LiPo

I found it on their website but no pictures yet and states that it is due in early September.

Anybody else hear about this one or any others?

I guess it has mechanical retracts. Wonder if it is possible to use
some electric retracts on it?

If you sort through the other thread, there is a lot of info on the LG setup. In short, I believe the answer is no.

Uh-oh, looks like PZ has some serious competion in the warbird deptartment.

Retracts and flaps out of the box for the same price as a retractless and flapless PZ warbird? count me in

Fw 190 maiden

Today I maidened my Fw 190.

As with Turnigy 3S1800mAh 30-40C pack, the stock motor and prop pulled 24 amps static, I replaced the stock esc with CC TB36.

I slow-downed the servo speed for retractable landing gear on my DX8.

Very docile airplane. Great in the air!

Our club fellows took some pics and vid.

24 amps static is a bit too hard for the stock 30A ESC, especially in hot summer days, IMHO.
