Ok , then i trim my Surfaces mechanically , too ..
so i was right with the Roll Compensation during Rudder Deflection..
But i found another Mix in QuiQue´s Setup

RuD -> Flap
Rate 125
Rate 125
Sw: Mix0

For what is that Mix ?

Hi,

Ok i understand now ,
Flap is Aux1 and so, it's the Mix for the VT

And i found 2 unamazing things :

1. Two Servos are faulty . During mixing of the VT , the VT Servo is stucking sometimes for a second.
And the left Elevon Servo has Freeplay.. More than all other Servos
When moving the Elevon , this can be feld..
And the Servo generates a sound when shaking the Elevon by hand..

2. During setting up the Servo travel and D/R Settings ,
I found the left Elevon travelling much more than the right one in both directions..
I now reduced the travel adjust to 80% !!
Is that normal ?

Hello ,

Now i am on Page 51 of 88
I am using the Stock BNF AR600 RX..
Yesterday i solved the Problem with the Bind of the Nose Gear Linkage.
I reduced the Rudder Travel to 70% and set the Linakge of the Rudder Servos to the outer Hole of the Servo Arm to get still the High Rates..

Just waiting for an answer from my Shop because of the 2 faulty Servos..

Edit : I had to readjust the VT Servo Linkage, it was not trimmed correctly..

Hi,

Not so much Action here
At that Moment , i finished reading all 88 pages

I also watched serveral videos on youtube how to handle ( and not to handle )
the Scimitar during TO , approach and landing..

To use Rudders for bleeding off airspeed would be a nice option..
But i have the stock 6ch rx , so this is not possible for me
An AR8000 would this made possible ..

Does someone use bigger wheels on the retracts ?
Is it posible to adjust the Angle of Attack during taxi und rollout by shorten the nose Strut a little bit ?

I used different wheels. They're DuBro... not sure which exactly but they're rubber, low bounce wheels that are bigger, and work great

Just picked one up from advantage hobby for 220 shipped! Good deal compared to what they used to be. I'm going to test it out stock and may on to 6s. I have a setup that works well on a sundowner 36 and a falcon 25 so I think it will work well on this too with a 9x9 prop at close to 16K rpm. I'm just not sure a 6s 3300 will fit until I can get into it. I might purchase this too: http://www.customrcparts.com/index.p...roducts_id=103

6s 3300 ought to fit. Battery area is huge.

Hi,

So the thread is not yet dead

Today my prebent nose strut arrived..
So i will use a dremel today , to get flat spots on all three struts to tightly mount the axles..

Has someone tried different strut length on the Nosegear ?
Perhaps it´s possible to compensate the bounce effect during touchdown a little bit..

Doesn't seem to help that much.

Shure ?
I thought , the angle of Attack of the Scimi during Touchdown is one of the reasons to bounce back in the air due to an impulse of air stream to the lower side of the wing..

For me it is simply being just over stall speed to keep it from bouncing. It doesn't seem to start off as a bounce. It just rotates back up in the air unless it is too slow to fly. You have to have a pretty high angle of attack to get the speed way down. Simply said, shortening the nose gear from stock doesn't seem to help. It does make rotation when you want a bit troublesome. The Scimitar doesn't like to fly off the ground without a pretty good pull on the elevator. It will rotate and then fall back to the ground. When the angle of attack is nose down it just enhances this characteristic.

Ok, so i installed my Struts now with the normal length..
I tightend the screws which attach the axle to the strut well now..
When i have my dremel back , i will install flat spots to the struts on the mounting points..

I´m still wondering , why e-flite has no optional prebent struts for the Scimi..
This was so easy with my P47 Thunderbolt an d the restracts..

This strut i have already installed..

I mean struts for the Main Gear , which were bent at the mount point for the wheels..

These are for the Thud :

I will try to use 2 stock Nose Gear Struts, which are already prebented , to install to the Maingear Servos..

I am not sure I understand. Are you trying to make a bend in the strut so it serves as an axle too?
