I have a 3500kv motor with a 14T pinion. My throttle/pitch curves are:

Normal: T:0 60 80 P:30 50 100
Idle up 1: T:88 flat P:0 50 100
Idle up 2: T:100 flat P:0 50 100

I'm not sure what hover RPM Normal gives me, I've never tested it.

I think its something like 2500rpm at hover point....

Thank for the pictures. That's better than I expected in the sunlight. I remember the manufacturer of the iCharger saying they went for the green/black display over the blue/white, because of difficulties reading the blue/white in directly sunlight. Perhaps the blue/white fades, whereas the green/black gets even sharper in direct sunlight.

I have iCharger too and that green display is very good and easy to read.

The nightmare here is about my turnigy wattmeter. Its a beautiful blue blacklit screen but characters are black. Its hard to read in any condition of light.

Returning to this nice topic, I will have to changing pinion for this unit. I am hovering at 2100 rpm using a 12t and a 3500kv at 70% throttle (arrghh). Its kind of powerless and drifting around in a silly way.

As far I could feel, this gyro needs a Higher head speed than 2100. I like very much the elevator axis: heli stay nailed at same altitude very steady and it also compensate torque effect very well.

No need to get links shorted at one side anymore.. ROFL

Yes 2100 is very low for a 450. I'm using more like 3000, as I fly in idle up 2 most of the time.

so the helicox and alzrc are 100% the same just the visuals are different? is one better then another?

I think just the visuals are different. They share same manual, menus, settings and I am pretty sure is same program box.

rumor has it the Helicox TG-1, Allzrc 3GYS, and Tarot ZYC pretty much come out of the same factory, though the programming boxes are different and not interchangeable. I wouldn't be surprised if all these had the same guts and programming but a slightly different interface.

I am having a very hard time to lock tail. Its looking like a happy dog. Did you had any problem been flying?

No, the tail on my 450 Pro has no wag, and is locked well. I'm running a head speed of 2800 on idle up 1 and over 3000 on idle up 2. My servo is a DS520 and the ball is at 7-8mm. Gain is set to a true gain of 28.

The only issue I have with the tail is how they handle the deadband. It causes a small twitch around center when you try to move the tail very slowly. It's not noticeable in flight, so I'm not that bothered about it.

I just found a mechanical issue.

One of the tail rotor holder was coming off with socket collar screw. Now I know why people disassemble factory assembled parts and use thread lock in everything. I hope this was the wag issue. I will test tomorrow to see. The other rotor tail holder was properly TL.

Btw. I bet you know, but did you see the deadband feature on program box?

I tested my Emax Analog servos and ball start to move with 8 deadband....

My walkera digital tail servo start to shakes with 1 deadband.

I saw default deadband gyro over tail is 4.

Maybe you can check your deadband tail servo and tweak it on gyro.

What do you think, does it make any sense?

Yes, the issue is with the Tx deadband. Reducing it makes it better. They don't appear to subtract the deadband of the stick input, so the bigger you make the Tx deadband, the faster the minimum speed of the tail becomes (deadband 60, gyro uses 61 as slowest speed, where it should be using 1).

been flying. Nailed, mate. Tail is rock solid now. No more happy dog tail.

And you were right. Minimum rudder input is a little bit fast than normal. I increased tx deadband and it did like a dead expo in the middle and the first tail movement was fast.. ROFL. I will turn it down like you did.

I had to change a few things to make it stable:

Blades: No game with woods. I set whole heli with wood blades to preserve good ones in case of a blade strike. Now i changed to the carbon ones and have a new heli. Woods were vibrating too much.

Gyro pad: No game with align pu gel. Too thick and jelly. Heli was bouncing around. Changed to the stock one (2.5mm) and I had a new heli.

I have to solve two things yet, maybe you can help me:

1. Heli is drifting right in left rudder input and left in right rudder input.
2. Heli is bouncing up and down 20cm. Maybe ground effect? Or is that pitch D setting?
