Hello all,
Kin I keep some space in the cockpit. I put the tail build aside and wend further with some teeth for my Apache. I have purchased the Hellfire kit from smart models and its a great adon for this baby. Assembling the rockets gos fast but gluing the tiny front wings with CA glue are tricky because I have several times glued my fingers to the rocket instead of the fin ..But they are nice and it gives a impression how big this Apache are. ![]() Here the painted Rocket and Hellfire pods, I have added some details (not true scale) just looking good. Here the Gun and its components, ![]() All coming together nice, By the way how do you guys like my workbench ,![]() This always the case when I'm going for it, and still able to find my tools also (at least most of the time) ![]() Will be back, Kind regards, Jan, |

Hi All,
Screwing the tail with just a few screws don't feel well so I reinforced the tail and ad two M3 nuts you use in the firewall of a model air plane to hold your engine, And I have ad e wooden support in the tail to support the stabiliser wing, ![]() And Kin, There a lot of room here for your pilots ![]() ![]() Making a cockpit will be a lot of work but will add very much to the Apache ![]() Regards, Jan, |

Hello,
This build report was not visible anymore it was moved below page 2 ![]() Besides that. I put in the thin plastic sheets for the cockpit widows and it look nice now. And I start to dismantle my already installed wooden support frame because I want to use the new direct tail driven unit from Kin and then I'm also able to bank the mechanics 4 degree forwards to meet a more scale look and behavior in flight. Doing this, then I need a new support frame. Regards, Jan, |

Hello all,
I'm considering to put in my bird a four bladed head and I'm stumbling to this one, its not that expensive and on stock. ![]() Its a Copter X head but I can not find for so far any reviews of it. So my question are will it perform well or not. My intentian are to run it with a Skookum 360 first and go later to a Skookum 720 or Helicommand Rigid when the Apache are finished because of there bailout functions what the 360 not have. (I have a 360 already) I want to fly the mechanics first without the body with the new tail driven unit from Kin and after thats works OK I want to go for the fourblades head and tail. So I'm orientating what to do. ![]() ![]() So I can use some advise with this one ![]() Kind regards, Jan, |
