New MXC spotted in Southern Maryland

At the Charles County Radio Control Club (CCRCC) sailplane day August 13th, a brand spanking new red MXC sailplane was spotted. It was so new, Bud hadn't even opened the plastic baggie with the parts and stuff... time to widen that smile by getting some air underneath the wings!!

Nice! Who's going to organize an East Coast XC event? My arm won't need much twisting.

Great idea. I spend more time on the East coast than anywhere. If it's the right weekend I'll help. If I have enough advanced warning, I may be able to participate too.

DESS has a nice little course about 10 miles around. Almost all back roads and lots of land out areas. We can do laps or extend a leg out and back. My record is about10 miles in 30 minutes with an old constellation. If one wanted some serious mileage we could fly east until we ran out of a dry place to land.

We can just play XC any weekend for bragging rights or something more formal with entry fees trophy's etc.
Pass the word!
