Yeah, you really get bent over with SDP's shipping/handling for sure. The Logo mains are usually V shaped gears from what I'm gathering. Maybe those were some high-performance versions for mega-3D torque loads?

Well the belt SDP sent me was a bit wider then what I had ordered , but after chucking the two shafts with pullies up in a cordless drill clamped down to the workbench and the dremel tool with cut-off wheel chucked in it things are fitting rather nicely. Still need to go to the LHS and get a few small items to finish the job , but soon should have a stretched limo 600 heli.

HHMMM... I have a second HK600GT coming tomorrow... Maybe I'll do this mod also... If I send you a tail drive gear assembly and tail rotor axle, would you be able to resize the gears for me?

Tailboom & 600 blades installed

I got the boom assembly installed on her and put the 600mm blades back on her , as I am waiting for the 700mm blades. After doing some measuring it looks as though you could fit up to 800mm blades to a bird with this mod but weather the head and drivetrain would hold them is another story. Haven't flown it yet might try it tomarrow with the 600mm blades just to see how the tail is working.

The distance from the tailrotor shaft to the main shaft at the swashplate is 985mm , never measured that distance before the mod so I can't say what the difference is. Maybe someone with a stock T600 could post that measurement so we have it on record.

Yeah that servo is a killer , super fast and holds the tail like nothing else I've seen.

Sounds good, what 700mm blades are good and cheap(er)?

Looks like my DX8 puked its aileron pot, recenters anywhere between 0 and 14%...which means I'll be out a radio for a month I think. No builds for me (or much flying), arrgh

I plan on trying the 3D Pro's from Helidirect $53.10 a pair for CF , should work great for what I do with them.

How old is that DX8?

One of the first out...1 week post intro direct from HH.

I wrestled with my DX6i to get the miniprotos going at least in the meantime. Reconfig'ing to a Vbar is somewhat simple...you adjust the tx to the vbar vs the other way around. We'll see how this works out this afternoon, crossing fingers

So I take it's out of warranty?

My radio is the cheapest on the market , and I have flown with guys flying with Fasst , Spectrum , JR ,and Hitech 2.4gh radios and I have never had one issue. I have been standing right beside a guy with a Fasst and JR when they both browned out and the bird went into the dirt , I never had an issue. One of the guys thought it was my radio that did it and he tryed and tryed for 1/2 an hour to get it to interfear with another one of his helis with no effect , they were not on the same 2.4 format .

Are your sticks in BB on that DX8 and tension adjustable?
