Esprit Ka8-b

Guys,

I'm looking for feedback of any kind on the Ka8-b that Esprit is selling.

I don't think I could bring myself to electrify this beautiful glider so I would be using it on the slope.

TIA for any thoughts.

Darn right, no electrification on a vintage glider! I would search the rest of the forum to see if anyone has any idea. Good luck, and post how it turns out! Keep 'em flying, Joser

Oh well, I've ordered one (in Europe), I'll do a bit of a report? Or not...

I will probably not use spoilers, but instead modify the wings to have flaps + maybe larger ailerons. I know that isn't pure scale, but I am too much into low-'n-slow aerobatics to bother about that... Stand-off scale looks is all I want.

Hi I've finished mine a few weeks ago. Not maiden yet.

It`s a product of ggod quality. I`ve used the motor suggested in the instructions. The nose is fiberglass and the motor have an extended shaft.

For balancing I've used a 4500-3S lipo and a bit of lead in the nose.

The electric airbrakes are fantastic. I have to recut the "top" of the brakes because some times get a bit jammed.

The included pilot is junk. The plastic cover of the wing is very fragile as the servo covers. The paint chips away of the plastic parts.

Probably I`ll maiden this weekend.
