Well you said you made two changes at once. The easiest thing to do is remove the OSD. See if the problem goes away. If so, you've found your problem, if not...

Here is my completed build with averticalview camera gimbal.
Test flown a few times now, Still have some wobble though.
I have some new Graupner E-Prop 11x5 on the way to replace my 11x4.7 APC SF, base on RTryder (Ken) advice.
I have my gains turned up a lot 300%

The DJI wookong was NOT the problem.

Mini-OSD from HobbyKing was crap !!

But that was sad, I really liked the Volt info

I have a 2.4ghz lawmate 500mw vtxI have flown with my x8 and dji. No blackouts or interference. I havent flown it very far away though. I use the rhcp cloverleaf. That works well and with the length of wire on the antenna you can get the cloverleaf part pretty far away from everything else.

For all those that have taken the plunge and tested.

I have my quad flying nicely and plan to start getting some footage, but want to have the fail safe tested if I go too far and loose Tx.

Set at hover on GPS at 5 feet above ground, place daughter underneath to break the fall, and cross fingers ?

Any suggestions....?

Yea and it flew fine until my escs that were set to lipo cut out and flipped it in my garage)!! At 25%+/- it oscillated really badly, at 50% it seemed ok but turning the gains up caused vicious wobble, at 75% it was better and then I heard it should be at 100% because all the motors are an equal distance from the center of the craft. I asked eric.sun at dji if he could send me the factory mix settings for the way they run the x8 so I could use them as a reference to figure out a custom mix and he asked me what I meant by factory motor mix settings so I really dont know where to go from here, but I have time since Im waiting on new props!

Funny thing is I have a full face motorcycle helmet she could use. Great idea !

I will likely be needing some character references however.....once state child enforcement gets notification of RC Quad abuse....which will cost me an additional $2K in fees from the attorneys, just to describe it.

I'm thinking filming this would be unadvisable...any lawyers care to weigh in ?

That's nothing compared to what your wife will do to you between the rolling pin, meat cleaver and meat mincer LOL

Some training type landing gear to widen the base with foam padding on it might be helpful

A cruel slap of reality there Malaysian...

My wife and daughter are big into endurance horse events and we have what I would consider a full posse of the mules...

Maybe just do a feeding event under the fail-safe test, and use the 'mules' (aka arabian long distance race horses) as the soft landing ...?

Sounds good till you realize how far the mule might run with your copter on its back LOL
As long as the flight assistant confirms that your fail safe is activating correctly and you have a good GPS fix, I think you won't have to worry.
