It does not make sense to me to design a top notch Flight controller and let it be driven by cheap ESC.
Its like sky jumping , you just hope the shoot will open.

Dont take me wrong i know there is very good ESC on the market.
I just think to release a product like this you want constant performance out off it.

One guy gona put x-ESC on and other guy gona put y-ESC and then the X-ESC rant and say DJI is rubbish but the Y-ESC gay rave about how good it is, meanwhile its the ESC thats not X-ESC guy is using thats the problem.

Or DJI can Test a bunch of ESC that they know work very good and publish that as recommendations.

What do you think about this config for the DJI Wookong M?
Droidworx AD-6 Heavy Lift
Pro Mount Mini AV130
Avroto M2814-11S Short Shaft 770KV Motor or Axi 2814/22 HL
Maytech Harrier-Suprem 30 Amp Brushless ESC With 5V/3A BEC or Jeti ECO 40
Graupner E-Prop 11 x 5
Any tips, I am ready to order and I feel I am forgetting smthng.
Is this good enough for 5D mark II?

Maybe a Hexa got more lifting power i have a Y6 with the Avroto motors all up weight is 2.9kg with gopro camera and 5800maH batt and i only get 8min flight time.
Im using Apc props 12x3.8 on top and 11x4.7 on bottom.

If you want to lift a SLR cam dont know what flight time you will get.

There are loosing of Signals on all Boards some Time, no matter if they are for 30 (HK) or 1200$ (MK)

yeah ! the coming Home Gadget...ARE YOU PILOTS OR AUTOPILOTS OR WHAT?

Who needs that ? ok, its there but its just a Gimmick..if you want to use it..ok,play with it.
its like self-parking cars if you cant drive - let the electronics do the Job! NICE !

im flying for Years and i NEVER ever switch it on... why? cos im The Pilot, my payload is expensive and i dont need more sources for failure on the Copter-there were enough of them in the past !

My Critics is about the non see-able Advantage of this Board-
comparing to other FC`s that flys similar to Wooxxx.
As long as its like any other (cheap or expensive) there is no Reason to call it the Holy Grail and advertise this like some people do it here!

again, switch of AP..switch on your Brain..cheers and thats it ...
happy auto-landings

They are shipping now.
I just got the shipping notice from Robert.

He stated earlier that 20 units had arrived and 30 more will be here next week.

Heh, just as I was reading this post my shipping notification popped into my inbox. Hopefully I'll get it early next week and be able to do something with it, all depends on what happens when hurricane Irene hits here this weekend.

I'm looking forward to getting mine as well.

The first one is going on a new MK Hexa-XL frame,
QC_3328 QuadroPower Motors,
Maytech 30amp 400Hz ESCs,
EPP12x4.5 props.

The second unit is going on anything from a Gaui 330 to a Turbo Ace frame for testing but I think is will ultimately wind up replacing the brains on my MK Okto stock unit with the Photoship MkTR gimbal.

I got my shipping notice as well.

Mine is initially going on a VC-550-X8, which has eight Hyperion ZS2213-33 motors with 25A Hyperion controllers, running on 4s. This will get it flying as quick as possible. Right now this has an mkTR Pro gimbaled camera mount, but I'm a little worried that this setup might be on the heavy side, once I put a decent camera on it. The new Sony NEX 7 might be okay, but I don't know for sure.

Eventually, I want this on a new build Y6 frame that I'm having Tom (vic20owner...) look at for me. This will be larger 650-700mm...) and I plan to use Hyperion ZS3025-10 motors and the Hyperion 45A 6s controllers. This will probably be run on 5s. The mkTR Pro will end up on this one, and I'll probably go to a gimbaled GoPro mount for the X8.

I am studying the user manual and see on page 3 DJI WKM introduction "...models form quad-rotor to octo-rotor" and see only quadros and hexas (+ and X) on mixing table page 7.
Do octo mixing table will be updated later ?
Cheers
