Fast flying/unstable platforms, how do you launch?

I was curious as to how you guys would fly say a pusher jet with an FPV system without crashing it on take off?

Not talking about wheels but usually in a hand launch, some planes (if over powered) will do a roll (torque roll) until sufficient airflow straightens it out.

How do you guys deal with that on take off?

Full power captain!!!.

My funjet has good power to weight so most of the time i just power out of it. I know it wants to roll left and pitch down during launch so i counter that by launching @ a 60 degree angle, and adding a few clicks of up trim.

Cheers, Kev.

launching skyfun and AXN floater Clouds Fly (1 min 4 sec)

Took a few tries to get used to it, but it now seems easy to me
If there is torque roll you launch with a twist the other way, then they roll to straight and by that time there is enough air to keep them there.

(the sound is lagged, sorry, the high pitched sound @11 seconds is actually the skyfun launch).

Why is there a lag? If you don't mind me asking.

I see how this works now

thank you.

You could use a bungee launch. Works really good for wings or any plane that requires a toss.

Not like this kind of a launch right?

Erwin RC slope glider Bungee-Planeur RC Erwin catapultage (0 min 59 sec)

Ahh there was this video, tiger something, these guys were crazy, the tension on the rope was so strong that they were almost falling over.

The launch seemed like 300mph as the plane just screamed then when he pulled up it disappeared like a dot into the sky

Because the video was originally a gopro 60fps, the sound got halved by a poor choice of video editor. Or something.

Anyway: I cut my finger from getting used to launching that funjet so I know where you're coming from.

This is a problem for me too....
I usually fly , just me and the dog, she's not good at launching planes so I've got a couple of FPV ships that I rarely use
A bungee is probably the best solution for the little one and landing gear for ROG wiould be best for the big one.
It's definitely a problem with fast planes.

Trouble with that launch is that at about the 5 second mark of that clip, the front half of my FPV foamie plane would indeed be launched, leaving me holding the tail, some dangling wires, and looking very stupid

Hahaha

Couldn't you strap an FPV system to one of these? They have enough wing to support the weight and still fly comfortably without an engine I would think.
