i agree with you Glo i would love to see a bird made my sam and dr kazu nowthat would be something IMO.Well i have made a start on my vulture cutting out some ply parts but thats about it. cheers brian

Very interesting. With the angle of the hinge line I would expect the rising panel to have an increased angle of attack, so roll the model to the left. If it turns right, I guess it must be the increase in drag that is the dominant effect.... much like the drag brakes used to turn a paraglider.

Looking forward to seeing a video of it in flight.

Although the hand throw was carried out about 15 times from the bank, the course has been changed safely slowly.When the right wing was raised, it inclined to the left at first, then direction was changed to the right.
Since it went to the bank alone today, I was not able to do video photography which is flying.
I think that there are some kinds of methods at which a bird turns.I think this method is set to one of them.

That makes sense to me. - At small deflections the outer panel would give increased lift but not much drag, and so a raised right wing would give left roll. At large deflections it would give lots of drag, so model would yaw and roll right.
