small receiver

of all your receivers what do you think the best would be for a DLG that can handle the carbon fiber?

I would run the antenna outside of the boom, taped to it. The little synth Corona receivers are awesome for this, very light, thin, four channels. I have put them in 2 meter thermal gliders and spec'ed them out, great range. And cheap.

o sorry forgot to tell you to do the mixing i need i have to have a 6ch i have a futaba 6exp so with that I dont mind if its a little heavier my biggest concern is that it is a good quality receiver that can handle long range my glider fell out of the sky the other day because of a cheap receiver. I will take anything that you know would be compatible to the futaba

like the electro or neutron what ever you think would be best im interested in. My other problem is i am on ch 43 so what might be easy to find a crystal for too would be a benefit

Then either the Corona 8ch synth or one of the Hitec Electrons. The Corona is better range and you don't need a crystal, it matches to your transmitter frequency w/o a crystal. The Electrons are good range but not as good as the Corona and they do need a crystal to match your transmitter, mine are on ch-13.

ok as you can see I find issues with everything so i am just making sure this time everything should go smoothly if you say that the futaba will sink to the corona 8ch then I will take one. To me its crazy that they are that good and are cheaper then everything else

You have limited space so a full size receiver like the Futaba are not a good choice. The reason I have so many of these Corona is that plain and simple they work really well. Before I did this post I already sold a few of them, people like them. I'm converting all my stuff to 2.4 so these are the receivers I've taken out of my helos and planes. All except the one in a box I've used with out issue. Some are better than others, I have no problem saying so. The Futaba FP-R148DF are really good receivers and they are not too big but they are still big comparatively. They are still for sale at Tower for $120... plus a crystal. The 555 are also really good if you can live with a 5ch receiver. The little Corona 4ch are just awesome especially for the price.

Yeah i just figured out my receiver doesnnt have a synth module so i dont think the coronas would work its to bad. I have been having so much trouble trying to find a small receiver that i know would work, I know that i need a 6ch because the radio is stupid it wont let you mix the way you need otherwise even if you try to trick it. do you know if there is any difference between a electron and the neutron? I know some other people that have used them in my same fuselage

No, the Coronas are synth so they will match what ever channel you have on the transmitter. You turn on your radio and turn on the receiver. Push a button and it scans for your channel and locks onto it.

The Neutron is auto shift so it will work with Futaba or JR but it still needs the right crystal.
