With the help of Jim "macr0t0r", I successfully maidened my Stryker today with my DX8. I agree, a launch mix would be nice. It was a little sketchy when I hand launched today with no assistance. Luckily, everything went okay despite the fact that my plane was very out of trim. I guess my bad for not looking at it more closely... Lots of right aileron and up elevator trim got it flying smooth. Real "pitchy" at first, somewhat common of the wing airframes I think...

I'm using the stock lipo with a 4040 prop. Speed was okay imho. Looking forward to messing with it to take advantage of Jim's mixes and such. Unfortunately, I only have one battery right now. The stock lipo was barely warm when I took it out so that is good.

I think it'll be a fun plane to have. Seems way more enjoyable than the Great Planes F-86 that I maidened today also...

Pete

Thanks for the assist Jim. Yes, double check, but I think i was seeing the right names for the plugs on the rx from the link in your text. I'll watch here for your 'gear/trim' mod here, or post if I figure out something.

Second flight today and it was awesome! Now that it is trimmed out, it launched super easy! I'm really liking this now!!! Now I need more batteries!

mrmurder1975- there was a flyer there that had a 2s300mah lipo that looked to be perfect for the mini-Stryker but I can't seem to find it on the site!

It uses the same Eflite UMX connector as the Sbach, Beast etc. I think the proper name is a JST-PH but nobody uses it, just look out for any Turnigys or others marked as Eflite compatible.

The one I bought used uses two nanotech 300mah cells with a parallel connector.
About the cg, any tips on an easy way to check it? When I first got it I tried balancing it on a ruler, but didn't get very far.
Cheers,
Rob
