Got out for a few minutes today and did a camera comparison video between the GoPRO HD Hero 960 and the #11 keychain cam at 720P. With the UM Stryker.

The #11 is nice in the fact its not as wide a lens and thus things appear closer, but the GoPRO has much less shifting of the exposure, much more constant look and fell to the contrast and colors.

Be sure to view the 720P version on Youtube for best quality.

720P Cam Compare (7 min 0 sec)

PS - Can see how I hand launch somewhat in the GoPRO portion of the video.

The GoPro is definitely a lot better though.

I thought it was funny... I was kidding around. Yes, you are allowed to make a joke. Sorry I came off as judgmental.

Chuck it like a cheap paper aeroplane!!

I know what you mean, well if you meant back to the Tx that is...

My first launches were horrid but I later found out that it was probably due to needind a LOT of right aileron trim. Never noticed this till it was in the air flying though! Kind of chicken and egg - I nearly chickened and got someone else to throw it, nearly

Haha, if you don't get it powered in time the worst that could happen is a low speed rough landing. I actually once had someone throw it for me and it made it harder.

I just got back form flying this darn thing.... Never gets old!

the gopro is another level. (and there is still a lot better than the gopro too). being framerate, colors, speed of light detection and correction, or even sharpness, its all a lot better.

but the #11 is cheap and ultra light :-) aka you can put the #11 *on* the stryker. I do that
Can't do it with the GoPro!

The lens can be changed on both.

Yup, I've used the #11 for some time, mounted on planes and my hat. Nice and cheap and light for what it does.

If you think the UM Stryker is dangerous to launch under power my ritewings would scare you to death. Imagine a 6X4 APC sport prop spinning at 42,000 rpm and hand launching it

Has anyone built this from the bare airframe? I bought a new airframe and the nose on my old one broke, so tomorrow i will be transferring the electronics and gluing the fins and everything. Just wondering if anyone has done it before and if theres anything to look out for

Geez I "Miss Launched Only once because i got Careless and the prop actually STOPPED. I had to throttle down and then it re-armed don`t know if this is a Saftey thing or if it was a "Fluke" throttle this baby up and give it a good chuck with a good follow through. with a Plane like this I don`t mind if i get a Nip every 1000th throw
