Garmin GPS

I see a few of you are using a similar Garmin GPS which records your speed runs & some are not using a bag & they get wet, so, I assume is waterproof.

Can you all tell me what brand & model you are using & some specs on it, please?

Garmin Etrex is water resistant, i wouldn't go as far as to say water proof and i do use a sealable bag just incase.

I read about that scorp. So said to hear about her. She was amazing... I see you started a new big mono. Glad you didn't have a bad vibe about the hobby anymore after your loose. Once I get some time I need to video my 41" osprey. She runs amazing.

Sadly I haven't had a boat in the water in which seems like ages. In the middle of the night while the old lady is sleeping I slip down in the garage and build up some planes in the later hours of the night just to keep my head clear. I did manage to build 4 planes lol, all needing a madien. Just don't have the time with the baby stuff and the moving process. Shouldn't be like this too much longer (at leasst I hope not). I pray things settle down soon. I do know with the wife going out of work now, the hobby funds are pretty much drying up.

Yes Diesel, that's the size I'm after.

Did you have to load any other programs or buy any accessories for the Speed reader to work & hold the max speed or it is built in already?

I found a couple pretty cheap in the US. Aussie, they almost double the price!

How about an Eagletree data logger with GPS module?
A bit more than a GPS but does gathers so much more useful info.
Thats going to be my next big purchase, all the info you need to get the most out of your boat, amps, volts, rpm, up to 3 temp probs and GPS!

The "problem" with the eagletree is that it's only good for 100a or 120a (can't remember), not nearly enough for higher current systems.

Naaahhh, the eagletree is fine for some, but, I drive an off road buggy (FL350) & need the GPS for that too, plus, I'll be able to use it in any of my RC cars as well.

The reason for the small size.

You also can get a 300 amp inductive pick up for them if you need more than what they come with.
