I am so proud of my GF.

My GF soloed in one day.
Get this,
She has been flying the clearview sim while she is visiting me on vacation this week. She does so so (not bad)
On saturday she wants the real thing. She wants to buddy box with me on the radian. I let her do it and she flies ok. I didn't let her land or take off even though she nagged me to let her. lol.
I told her she would have to buy the plane if she crashed due to pilot error.
She backed off.
Now she is hooked. She wants to go to the LHS and pick up a trainer.
I gave her my 5XE. We are off to the LHS to get a champ. She is like a little kid now and just going over and over about how she loves this hobby.
We bind her champ. I trim it out for her. I give her some instructions on how to kill the throttle and let the plane land itself if she gets in trouble and watch out for trees and light poles.
She starts to practice in the baseball field next to my house her landings from a hand launch.
She is doing good on her own so far. Flying around in circles, landing and
dead throttle the stick when it gets too far away.
So I am thinking I will get my t-28 and fly with her.
Next thing I hear is OMG help me.
She is headed for the trees panicing giving it full throttle and full elevator.
It is flying way beyond my line of sight.
I take her receiver and kill the throttle. We look and look for that plane and can't find it.
Even though I bought her the champ and gave her the radio she insists on buying the next plane on her own cash.
I try one more thing and figure it might of ended up on this school's roof.
Grabbing a ladder I jump on the roof and find her champ upside down with no damage to it.
After some adjustment, we decide to head to a bigger park and field
One with no buildings
That girl takes off lands and solos this champ that evening.
I am so proud of her. I am flying my t-28 right along side of her. We fly till the winds pick up and head home talking about the day.
Now she is back in texas anxiously waiting to fly again where shes from.
I wanted to share with you a proud lady with a proud plane rightly deserved.

Damn dude, she's a keeper! Seriously, that's awesome and I wish my wife would take such an interest in my hobbies.

Thumbs up!

Shes a CHAMPion!!!! Girls like fun...planes are fun...only seems natural. Thought i heard once woman are more dexterous with their fingers. Hell they took control and worked the factories back during the world wars. But those were different days. Different breed. Some of the cool ones still exist.

Absolutely awesome. She's a keeper!

My wife, upon seeing my stricken in hospital last week said "You know honey, you need more planes". I'm keeping her to that.

I know I am very proud of her. It took me a long time to solo on gas/nitro years ago.
I am going to try to get her to join this forum next. I think her Texas attitude is her strength she is so determined to get something right no matter how many times she has to try.
