I think Doc does it once or twice, on purpose, PER FLIGHT.

Probably! Wish I could say the same.. In Knoxville at this year's huckfest, diggity lost one of the ones that's on the stab. We couldn't find it that night so I left my beer can out there to try and search in the morning. The next day we found it about 2 ft from the beer can!

I'm a proud owner of my first EF plane. Was able to get the 60" extra I was talking about for $400. It's like new, only 5 flights on it. I took LoneWolfRC advice and looked at the horizontal stab and it's dead nuts. The previous owner said he used a laser system to align it with the wing. Now only if the weather here in the NW will let me maiden it.

Congrats! But what kind of pilot only puts five flights on a 60 inch exp? What a waste..

Good for you!

He said he doesn't have time anymore. He has a complete setup for an EF 48" Edge just sitting there unbuilt everything still in the box.

I can assure you I will be putting more than 5 flights on it, given no pilot error that is.

Awesome deal...and thanks, I'm glad to know I am starting to give others something back, since I have learned so much from RCGroups.

What servos did he use? That is an awesome deal, even more awesome if it had good servos.

There are JR DS3421 servos all around with spoton control arms in colors to match scheme. Also installed is a JR satellite for rx and spektrum flight log system. Plus he gave me two 6 cell 3300 mah lipos he used for it. He said he goes overkill on all his planes with quality stuff. He also said he communicated with Doc Austin a lot when he started flying/building, so I'm sure he got a lot of good suggestions.

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine. Counting the tally marks on my batteries, I've gone through 360 charge cycles. I am on my second airframe because I hit a high-voltage powerline in cruise flight. I think the 60" Extra is quite sturdy, but balsa is no match to those cables.

Hope it will stop raining soon so that you get a chance to fly it.

Martin
