just want to ask you all.
for 3D flying MODE 1 or MODE 2 are better.
Im flying MODE 1 and find it quite difficult to do fast continous roll.
any thoughts?

Thanx
Mode 2 is more like a full scale plane with roll and pitch being on the same stick.

I fly mode 1 (because I learned to fly RC in Europe) and I think it makes rolling slightly easier. For harrier rolls I just end up moving my rudder/elevator stick in a circular/oval fashion. For fast rolls there might not be that much difference because I'd use mostly top rudder and little elevator.

I think continuous rolls are more difficult than they look in either mode.

The programming manual can be found here: airboss programming manual...of course, take the prop off while programming.

Just try restoring to factory defaults first.

ha i'm sure you would love that...this ones staying in my hanger for a long time, knew she was a keeper after the first flight..she's big enough to take to the field, small enough and light enough to take to the park and easy to store...keeper!

I know there has been talk about props but I'm too lazy to look back

what are you doing on 6s with the torque setup? I started with a 15x6 and it wasnt great, just tried a 16x8 paintstick and it was an incredible difference but loaded the packs a bit much. Any thoughts of a 16x7 falcon or 15x8ish?

thanks in advance

I'm running a 16/8 on mine but I am considering trying a 16/7 just because I don't need so much power and would like to take a little less out of the battery each flight.

Thanks Doc, I thought thats what you were running. I went 6.5min on 3300's tonite, just charging them back up to see where I was at. Flew them pretty hard, they were about +20 when I landed, motor was warm but not hot. It is a POS woodie I had, power point or something but better than nothing. You running the falcon or the xoar?

I've been running the Zoar, but I've also got a Falcon to try out.

My 60" MXS has a production 4016/500 MK II, and it's bad ass ballistic. These new 4016s rock.

What is the best prop size and pitch to use on this plane when learning to hover?

Experts may give you specific advise but i wanted to share that in general the larger the prop the easier to hover. The larger 'disc" has a greater gyroscopic effect which helps you hover more easily. It will also make tumbles slower for the same reason. On my 48" planes I found them much easier to hover on 13x7 3s versus 12x6 4s.

Fred is right...I think a 16x7 or 16x6 would be a good choice on the V2 motor.

biggest prop i flew the extra was a 17,5 x 8.
best for tight maneuvers, best for torquerolling. very easy to hover apart the fact that the extra wanted to roll strongly. needed almost full aileron to hold against
in relation to your question: a very bad prop to LEARN to hover.

16x7 xoar is a lovely prop for the extra. very good for constant middle speed, makes all rotations feel soft, very controlable feeling overall.
downside is....its a break for flying fast and big.....and also, it wants to torque.

15x7 is my favorite allround prop.
very clean feeling. hovers clean and easy.

i just want to mention, its not that the bigger the prop is the easier it gets.

then again....i would never recomend the extra60 to learn to hover.
addiction x for example is a zillion times easier.
