I had to send mt esc to castle for repair or maybe replacement.Me & a friend were flying at an airshow last weekend & in the middle of a knife edge circle the motor quit.I got it down & disconnected the battery, hooked it back up & the servos stopped working as well.Bypassed the bec the rx worked. The esc wouldnt arm, motor wouldnt work & bec is fried.Castle has it now & I hope to get it back soon(ice lite 100)Ive only had the extra for about 3 weeks so I robbed the esc & bec from my 60 edge so I could fly it.Id say between the 2 I like the extra a bit more.Rolls faster & feels a bit more crisp compared to the edge.

I'm really loving the power this one has and once I get 100+ flights I sure I will have it lock in, that is about what it takes me to get truly comfortable on a new airframe
Thanks for the feedback. What servos are you using?

Do not use the 16x8 with the torque.

15x7 and 15x8 should give you what you need. 15x6 sounds a bit weak.

That sucks! I just received my HV80 back from warranty service, and they also have my thunder bird9 esc(failed BEC).. every time i send them a warranty part it takes at least 2-3months to receive it back..I don't wait for them to turn it around. I replace it, and sell the repaired, or replaced one. when it finally comes back.

If you don't want/can't get the Torque, the Motrolfly 4315 is awesome in this airframe. I'm running mine on 4s 4000 with a 15x7 (79 amps 1155 watts). It was 80 degrees yesterday and my motor was coming down at 90-95 degrees after 5-6 minutes of hard flying.

4315-480 on 6s and 16x8, 1535 watts at 72 amps doesn't just have unlimited vertical, it will continue to accelerate vertically until you can not see it, comes down cool and is super efficient

The power to weight ratio is around 2:1. It's a rocket.

1200 should be more than enough, I'm rarely at full throttle

ok, good to know. I'm planning to use 4000 4s Gens with Motrofly 4315 with the new 60 MXS. I know it's meant for 6S, but I don't want to get into yet another set of batteries.

Buy 2S packs...you can run them in series with your 4S packs to make 6S or run them in series to make 4S packs...much more flexible this way if you have planes that run 4S.
