Doc - are you just posting the URL or the whole embed code?

As a test, I just snagged the embed code and pasted it below.

<iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/41128284" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe>

Edit - that didn't work so trying the URL only.

Edit 2 - that doesn't work either. I suspect that RCG has made a code change and are no longer auto converting the vimeo URL's to an embedded video player.

Older videos still show up as a video window. I think the problem is Vimeo. They changed their uploader and format and everything. This happened before and it corrected itself, but this time it has been going on for a few days.

Maiden went well, I got 5 5 minute flights with a 15x8 xoar prop on motrolfly 4315, only put back 1300-1400 back in my packs.

It's a bit early to say I love it as I'm more comfortable with my 51" slick, but what I did love was, KE, KE spins, elevators and harriers, what I didn't quite feel comfortable with was walls and hovering. Elevator authority is insane, need to dial it back a bit until I get used to it. It had a tendency to roll out or pitch left when doing a wall, might have been my thumbs, but I noticed it repeatedly and it bugged me. It also was hard to get to lock into a hover, I'm going to try a 16x8 next time. It was also a bit windy, but overall it was a blast and super easy to land

Woo Hoo!

My Torque 4016T-500 and Airboss Elite 80A arrived today.

Big shout out and MEGA thanks to Melissa at Extreme Flight RC. She was running the show while the boys played at SEFF.

I called Wednesday morning because Tuesday night (late night) Chris H. PM'ed me that the ESC's were back in stock along with the motor. It's Friday now, so in 2 days from call to receipt, I have my power system.

I also got my servos today. Four Hyperion DS16FMD's plus a programmer.

Batteries have an ETA of Monday so, I plan to maiden it in a week (next Saturday).

Thanks again to the team at Extreme Flight RC for producing such great aircraft and providing "Extreme" customer service!

JC

ps - Now that I think about, I suspect Melissa is always running the show.

Congrats. I still haven't put my Airboss ESC in my plane. What is the proper power up procedure vis. a vis. the switch, especially if you use an external ESC (not that an external ESC is necessary). Can you have the switch on when you connect the battery?

Does the switch control only the internal BEC and throttle signal reception from the receiver? If so, using an external ESC may be bad, especially if the ESC requires the switch to be off when the battery is connected.

I think the switch on my 45A airboss completely interrupts any power from entering the ESC because i get no motor response when i plug in the battery and then the whole system arms when i throw the switch.

However alot of people are against switched because they are weak point and the cause of many in flight failures if they go bad.

I'm one of those people. A single switch just seems so vulnerable to me. I have an external BEC hooked up directly to the battery, straight to the RX and it's working great.

Could you cut the switch, and solder the wires?

OK, straight out of the land of Bizzarro, now Vimeo links are working again.

These videos were from when I was only getting 35 degrees of elevator movement. Now I am getting 65 degrees and I am much, much more comfortable and confident with the plane. We are hoping to snag some new video next week, but for now these are not too bad........

Here's a quick picture of the spacers I used for my motrofly motor.
I have the fiberglass mount with 25mm M4 screws and 1/2" aluminum spacers with washers to spread the load on the mount.

I'm pretty sure the Airboss is on if the wires are soldered but no harm in checking.
