Yeah, it can pinch the crap out of your finders if you let the bell snap into place. Guess how I know?

Ok, that will work, did you need to heat it up to break the locktite?

if it is red you will surely need a heat gun .

I also learned my lesson, but on a smaller motor, omega 130, still hurt like hell

Also just purchased a 4315-480 from Motrofly and an Airboss 80, what's the popular Xoar prop for this motor?

purchased a 4315-500 w/ fiberglass x-mount yesterday, hoping it will be here before the weekend. Already received the replacement ZTW esc. Going to continue to run it on a xoar 15x7 prop.

i took a long drill bit , pushed it in the x-mount holes , and moved the drill to the side , ovaling the holes just a little bit , now the screws go in no problem , and used a flat washer under the screw head , ditto on getting the spacers at home depot ,i used the aluminum ones , and had to shorten them to about 3/8 in long , also put a aluminum washer under the spacer at the fire wall to keep the spacer from digging into the plywood there , got the longer 4 mm screws at a good local hardware store ...

Shadow you went with the 500kv? instead of the 480?

yeah the 500kv was rated to use a 15x7 prop so i went with that.

I flew my 60 Extra today and it has such a high roll rate that I had to keep dialing the aileron end points back.. Still at high speed there was no stalling or blowback of any kind. It was rolling so fast i could't keep up with it. Funny thing is, lots of guys are hating the standard Hi Tec HS5245MG servos but so far they have been golden for me.

We are going to be trying different props and flying the crap out of the 60" Extra all week, and maybe even trying to get some video. It's dialed in really good now and I am getting really cofident with it. I just haven't flown it in less that 20 mph winds yet, but I am sure it will be fine if we ever get any calm weather.

My Extra from the Toledo sale arrived today. I plan to use the Motrofly 362/750, Hitec 225MG and 4S 3300 (390g) batteries. I already have the motor and quite a few 3300s so hope to use them. Just wondering if I might have a problem balancing it right since the motor is lighter than the recommended Torque and the batteries are pretty light too. Anybody has a similar set up and if you need to shove the battery all the way to the nose to reach the recommended cg?

Ordering EF Power Combo tomorrow morning.

Thanks, ended up using a small round file to open the hole just a bit, M4 x 25mm bolts and 1/2 nylon spacers from local hardware store and motor is in. LHS was out of dubro 672 arms so the build is on hold again

She arrived today. I opened the box and had a look before having to put it back ... damn! This is just like going to the strip club ... you can see but you can't touch

I'm using the 4315 with 40c 4s 4000s. My battery is all the way forward. I'm betting you're going to need nose weight.
