Plus if you run two packs (larger planes), there's no need for a Y-harness. The red a black connectors are the same, and plug into one another..

Tim,

If they are that easy to disconnect, aren't you worried they may accidently disconnect in flight. These planes experience a lot of G's, and severe thrashings.

I see you have one side of the lead strapped to the battery, but the other is left to flop about.

Any worries?

No they will not come undone. In my opinion they are the best. I use the ones that are bonded together and if you feel more comfortable you can insert a lock to gaurantee they won't come apart.

Powerpoles click together and will not just come apart. The 45A ones are all you should need.

If you use power poles, keep an eye on them. The flat retaining spring that clicks over the contact has been known to slip off and the contact will fall out the back. It's happened to a few of my friends and it happened to me, and I lost my 55" SHP because of it.

I like Deans because they are standard, easy to get anywhere, light, small, and I trust my soldering.

That will only happen if they are not assembled correctly. You do heave to make sure you get a solid click when you insert into the body.
