i find these dont like old batteries. i think they would be awesome if they had good noise rejection in them. i might add a 3.3V regulator.........

Very little - maybe 0.25g at most. It's the same modification used for running the AR6400 on 2 cells.

I bought 4 of these 1.7g servos for use on a micro 3d model (Park180, 120mah 2s lipo and HK micro DSM2 Rx) but didn't realise they were for only 1s, damn it. What do I need to drop down the voltage or should I not bother and go for 4x New Power XL-2.0 instead?

As I'm using a beast Li-Po with 3 wires should I just run the power for the servos off the middle wire, its not a neat solution but It'll work as far as I can tell.

be aware of binding. i have had a few self destruct (my fault, screwed with the pot signals) and started to melt. if they bind or are stalled too long id imagine the 2S would fry them faster.
just make sure they dont stall or bind.

Guys

Has anyone made a y cable or wired two of these servos together for use with dual ailerons?

If so, did it work okay?

I'm using them as elevons on a scratchbuilt Vought Cutlass. They're working as well as any other servos. Working great!!.

Awesome thanks guys

I might make a y cable, or just extend the leads and wire together so that on servo is in reverse rotation. I can use one as a bell crank, BUT, not sure how well that'd work with such small horns for maximum throw. I could always extend the horn length on either side to fix that, BUT...

Just took some pics for you. This is a scratchbuilt so I don't have any plans for it. I download 3 views, blow them up to size using a calculator. If its printed out at 6 in. wingspan, I multiply everything by 4 to get a 24 in. span. This is probably old school but I enjoy doing it this way as you can see it form as you draw pencil lines. This one came out to 18 in. Motor is the smallest of the blue wonder series, D1811-2000 Weighs 10 grams if I remember right. Plane WO batt. weighs 1.7 oz, or 48 grams and is made from $ Store foam.
