HZ Champ battery questions

Hi, i just ordered a hz champ and am getting ready to order some batteries from hk. the 160 mah nanos look like a good deal and i will order some of those. what are the biggest batteries i can use in the champ? i saw the 300mah nanos....will those fit? also i want bigger wheels, i saw the 35mm ones and they look good. what thickness do i need? ive never use an rc plane before and dont know much about what i should buy. Thanks, Dennis

With the 500mah batt, your feet will get tired before the battery does.

The 160s will let you fly absurdly long.

Holy Crap, 500mAh - you may wear out a set of brushes before the battery gets tired!

I use 500mah lipos (from my blade 120sr heli) in my Champ all the time. The little bit of extra weight helps when conditions are not dead calm. Flights of 20-25 mins can be achieved easily but I limit myself to 15 mins so not to over stress the lipos.

adapter

can you tell me what adapter i need to use for the 420 and 500mah batteries? i am brand new to R/C planes and it doesnt seem like there is a standard for the plugs. i have seen on ebay the jst plugs, the mini jst plugs, another that starts with an "s", a dean style plug and the little plug on the champ that i havent found the name for. does anyone know what the champ one is called? Thanks, Dennis

The plug in the link fishycomics gave is the adapter plug needed to run the 500 mah battery.

The 500 mah battery is the only size battery i use in my micros, the one that came with it just won't cut it for me.

New Hyperion G3 3.7v 550mah 25c/45c battery and the little plug adapter both ordered from quantumhobby.com for $7.44 total plus shipping...and is scheduled for delivery this Thursday! Quick question...I've seen on another forum that the E-flight 500mah battery actually fits in the existing Champ battery slot...is this true also with the Hyperion?

(Although I'm sure I'll have to cut out the compartment towards the nose of the Champ since with all the added weight of the battery, the cog will be affected since the battery is longer...right? Any trial and error tips for when I start cutting (if needed) the battery compartment? Thanks!)

Can you use an E-flite Celectra 0.3a charger to charge a Hyperion 550mah battery?

Uggg...I just got my new Hyperion 3.7v 1 cell 25C 550 mah battery in the mail today, and just realized I have nothing to charge it with!

I was planning all along to use my E-flight Celectra 4 port charger, but it says on the charger it is 0.3a, which is 300mah, right? Does that mean it will never fully charge my 550 mah battery? Or does it just mean with will take twice as long to charge it?

Hoping not to have to go buy another charger for this one battery...can anyone answer if that charger will charge my new battery?
