ok ill shop around then, my homemade flex shaft isnt working out, i sheard it off where is was connected to the engine, so im ording that composite setup

I noticed that you had another support holding the strut???? Why. You don't need one???? And you didn't use a brass furrel to attach the flex cable to the prop shaft???? The flex cabe should work fine if you use the correct parts.

I get a lot of drive parts here http://www.zippkits.com/ They're reasonably priced and shipping is dirt cheap. You can make your boat with a surface drive without using a stinger,by using a longer strut bracket or a standoff like in the pic below and bringing your stuffing tube out the rear of the transom.Pic won't enlarge for some reason.

hopefully it will work well for me, i also have a line on a homelite motor if mine doesnt have enough power, but i love how well this craftsman engine runs, when its tuned good it pheeeerrrsss

i dont recommend warehouse hobbies so far, its been 5 days and they are still ( processing ) my drive system,

I've only dealt with WHH twice. The first time things went fine. The second time they lost my order due to lightning hitting a power pole outside the shop frying their computers, power and phones.
