Hi Artisan

None of us have sloped it yet but I see no reason why it would not cope I have flown mine in 10-20mph winds and it was fine.

Flown mine 8 times, first aeliron glider , also have radiun mk 1 ,this is a little faster and has performed very well, the step up was a little scary at first but now prefer the climber to the radiun, I think you have more control. The radiun was my first glider and at the time it really helped me to experience rc flying, would say i think both are fabulous models for newbies like myself

The only concern I have with the sky climber, is the way the servo wires double back when fitting the wings in place. As you know, the servo wires are held in place with two wire clips and I wonder just how much stress is being placed on the servo wires when being bent double every time one mounts the wings. Can we expect the servo wire to break at some point ? .

Nine Eagles Sky Climber glider

Hi Everyone,

I've just joined the site as a fairly new beginner in r/c glider flying. Thanks for all the advice and info on your postings which helped me make up my mind about which model to buy. The Sky Climber was bought two days ago from A1 Models in Colchester and on first impressions the build quality and smooth finish of the Sky Climber foam body seems much better than that of the original Radian glider I bought (and crashed) last Spring. I'm looking forward to my first test flight over the weekend though I'm having trouble trying to sort out a 'twitching' servo on one of the ailerons. Once I've read the DX6i manual I'll hopefully sort that bug out quite quickly.
Happy flying !

Delayed maiden flight

Hi Malc,
Many thanks for the welcome. By the time I arrived at the local flying field this morning there was a strong wind blowing, so I chickened out! Also, I need to find out why the left wing servo keeps going crazy and gets a mind of its own despite my control input!!
Really enjoyed your video footage by the way!
