Noticed there is a 50 to 70 foot difference showing the true altitude (altitude sensor) versus the standard gps altitude. The altitude ladder shows -25 feet on the ground and in the air a 50 to 70 foot variance compared to the altitude sensor. Any way to program "altitude sensor" for the display ladder instead of the gps altitude ladder?

Is is possible to calibrate the gps altitude so its more accurate?

Not sure I can help but what version of the firmware are you running? 9.57 is the newest version and can be downloaed here:

It's beta software but the guys from EagleTree are recommending updating to it if you are having troubles.

Also, which versions of eLogger, GPS, and altimeter are you using?

I've checked through the first couple of pages of questions and there are a couple that sound similar to yours but they've all sort of faded out without a real explanation as to if the problem got fixed or not. In one case billpa asked for the log files and it may have been a defective unit.

Go into the menu items and change which sensor is used for each ladder as you desire.

Thanks guys, been in the menu but not sure where to change the sensor. Which menu or sub menu allows changing the ladder? Running the latest hardware and v4 logger. Will check the beta link.

The beta fixed the issue! Now there's an option to use the baro/alt sensor in the menu.
