Hi,
Congrats on the Steig, i also has it for few months now. What kind of version do you own ? Kevlar wing ? , else ? does your wing servos installed in the wing, or in the fuselage? At first i had some minor issues when throwing hard, such flatter at the outer wing aileron. After some modifications and much smoother launching technics No flutters. At start i used the original setup that come along with the instructions, today i change it a bit to suite my flying style such as more movement of the Rudder in the Ail > Rudd mix Ele > Camber mix is something that helps. For strange reason but i really don't care i added a bit Camber to the wing on cruise mod ( with the left slider ) and small elevator down compensation, and the plane act much more calm without loosing is penetration ability this glider can easily launched to heights around 200 ft. I am kind of new to this DLG's and with the right technics i measured 183 ft Gil |

I just traded for a used Steig from a buddy the other day, was amazed at how well the plane flew! its like an F3J ship. covers ground really well and can cruise from thermal to thermal so easy its almost rediculis! after about 20 or 30 throws I started to amp up my launch with more power and was easily getting 180 ft and then I ripped the wingtip completly off along with the throwing peg! couldn't believe it! so I put a couple layers of carbon uni on top and bottom of tip and just put the blade back in with radiused edges and epoxy with micro balloons and moved the blade a little deeper towards centerline. Before it was pretty far out and right on the edge or the reinforced area. So, be very carefull if you're going to push peg placement outboard and an feel for the hard point! I have the full carbon wing.
