2M Ex version, 5/6th fpv flight

Are yall using the stock 4 bolts on the wing? Have any pulled out from the stress of a hard pull back on the stick? Thinking about adding longer screws and washers. The plane with the stock motor and a 3 cell 2300 seems to be tail heavy. No camera equip yet. Is it normal to add nose weight? I`m thinking when i mount the VT in the center fuselage spot and the camera upfront they should cancel each other out on the CG.tks

With the tx on the little flat part on the rear fuselage I can have a 3s 5000 mah in the front

Stock wing bols are fine..Have spun it in to the ground and the wing didn't rip off

Teejay. Is that the stock motor? What size battery?

Any pic`s of the camera mounts. I was thinking of cutting a large circle in the black canopy then mount my fatshark pan and tilt in it on the mount. It may look better with the sleek black cover.But i do worry i may catch wind drag? Has anyone done this?

Stock motor and esc but with a Turnigy Ubec and a 3000mah Turnigy Nanotech

Today my one became ready for maiden. I hope rain will stop soon..
My total weight with FPV gear and a 5000mah 3S battery is 1750gr.
The max rpm is 12.260 and theoretical trust is 780gr.
So, I am worrying the stock motor will not be enough for this plane..

How is yours weigh?

At the moment the weight of mine is negligable as those flights above are without any FPV gear (no camera, no osd etc)

I am currently in the process of installing OSD and camera, I'll also likely use a 5000mah 3S and don't envisage any problems

WARNING !
Make sure that if you're loading it up that you change the ESC for something more reliable or at least fit a UBEC to take some of the strain

I have fitted a UBEC and moved the standard ESC into the motor pod where it will get some cooling air, I'm hoping that is enough to keep me safe

Thanks to God, My ESC was burned out at first power up. I also changed servos. Still suspicious on motor because it has not well balanced.

Stock motor is fine..ESC sucks.

Mine's around 1750gr, flys ok..Just a bit of a run on launch and a good hard throw

The stock ESC is not able to supply sufficient power for all the servos. My stock motor was shaking like hell so I replaced it too.

I use a 11.1V 3S battery.
A friend of mine runs a E-flite Power10 in his FPVRaptor also using 3S batteries.
The Power10 is on the heavy side, but the additional wheight can be compensated nicely by a bigger battery(3S 5000mAh).

Every Motor with 1100 up to 1250kV, approximately 100 gram mass and 35mm maximum outer diameter should do the job.

We run a 8x6APCe prop with these motors.

An AXI 2814/16 (830kV) should be fine too using 4S battery packs.

you will regret this motor mount

Did my first flight today. Stock motor with replaced Turnigy 30 ESC. Using 3 cell 2300. I have the ESC mounted in the engine pod for cooling. No FPV stuff mounted yet. The plane flew great. The motor is not a power house but it serves it`s purpose as a FPV stable platform. It will do rolls and nice loops. But can fall out of the loop if not enough speed is kept up.
I have 3d plane`s for that. I just want a stable light camera mount plane, which this motor is perfect. Keep the weight down with light wing loading. I did add some nose weight for CG. The plane cruises level at mid throttle. But at WOT the nose rises. I`m not sure if this is a CG problem or because the motor is so far on the back of the plane it pushes the plane`s nose upward at WOT. Hmmmm?
