To all the lonely Raptors out there... What a beautiful afternoon! Hoping many of you were up there to see those incredible skies.

They show it taking off from the ground...it will NOT take off from the ground..

I have placed a complaint with HK requesting a FPVraptor that will take off from the ground like the video shows..

My current 1600mm FPVraptor will not take off from the ground..
I have to disagree with you here. My stock raptor take off from the ground just fine without any fpv equipment. It has a 2200 3S lipo on board with an extra 1 - 2 oz of lead in the nose and a UBEC.

You must lower the flaps for it to be able to lift off. It does get a bit dicey in a cross-wind and may groundloop on you, though.

Enjoy
terrible assembly video.....what about the plastic cowl that mounts on top of wing where the two halfs meet.
Is this 1600mm or 2m version?

First Test Flight

I had an expert test pilot at our club maiden my FPV Raptor today after balancing it flew perfectly and the motor upgrade was great, lots of power. Battery used was a 2000mAH 3S in the nose.

I can't say that since I do not know what your stock equipement (motor, esc etc) is.

Anyway, did you lower your flaps much? One way you can try it is to make a small bump on the field and just plan to hit the bump at sufficient speed and launch the plane that way. The field I fly at is bumpy enough for that to happen regularly.

Stock motor=2812 1400kv brushless Outrunner
3S 2200mah.
Yes I know about bumps to get it up in the air and I have no flaps but all of that would be useless because if I place the plane on the grass and at full throttle IT DOES NOT MOVE a inch..
I even tried it on a trolley with wheels...did not move...I can hand launch and it flies OK.
HK say to send it back...ya right thanks but no thanks....buyer beware...

A nice head wind is even better
This has worked really well for me lately with the heavier load.

My final flight at this location, much thanks to the New York state gestapo They finally found me tucked away deep into the woods. All I wanted to do was glide....
