whats the difference between speed and gps speed on a v3

as above please, I have a gps, and get readings, but dont know what the other speed is, I get no readings, all zero, what is that for?

It is for the pitot tube analog air speed. You do not have one on your eLogger so it will be blank.

There is a stand-alone version of the airspeed indicator compatible with the v3 but for your application not terribly useful. Additionally there is an airspeed indicator built into the Data Recorder modules.

One (GPS) will give you the ground speed; speed that is relative to the geographical location/reference.
the other one (pitot tube) will give you the actual air speed; the speed that is relative to the current wind blowing parallel to the aircraft.

If your GPS shows about 50mph (ground speed) and you have about 50mph tail wind and flying a fixed wing aircraft, you will technically stall the aircraft because your airspeed will show about 0mph...
