I do, I sell them.

I've found them to be great props at a lower price than the big brands.

- gee the prop manufacturer posts a free advertising thread with no hot deal/sale

- then the retailer of the prop thanks him for making such a fine product

- then they each say how good it is to spontaneously see each other here

- then the prop supplier posts a link to the retailers site (again, no sale) to thank him

What a wonderful coincidental world we live in huh?

LOL, It does look suspicious now that you put it that way.. But honestly I didn't know it was my supplier. I thought it was another member asking about the quality of the props. I thought perhaps they had seen them on my site.

However, to try to make it right I have now setup a sale on ALL of our propellers for 15% off. We also have specials on our shipping within the US for $2 for orders up-to $49.99 or FREE for orders over $50. Prop sale ends on on 7/21. These really are good deals even without the sale price.

GemFan SUX

I had one break on spool up and thought it was a bad one so I put on a new one and was in the air less then 5 minutes when a different one broke causing a couple of hundred dollars dammage.
They are too brittle.
So I think they SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

i bought some off ebay 4x Gemfan 5030 3-Blades, for my micro quad. Sorry to say they are horrible! i had to glue the inserts because the props would just spin in the inserts. The where also very brittle! chip and break easily. the APC lasted alot longer.

but they are cheap!

Where did you get them from? Ebay, Hobbyking? And your account is very vague, therefore not worth much. I'm not trying to offensive. I'm just telling the truth.

lol the ignorance here. You are still supposed to use a prop saver. The inserts are just to center them on the shaft. What friction fit prop do you know of that is bigger than 4"? And yes there is a tradeoff for stiffness.

Stiff Prop:
-hit it hard enough and it will break
-hit it lightly and it won't bend

Flimsy Prop:
-hit it hard at it will severely bend
-hit it soft and it will still deform

Pick which one you prefer.

Well xheli that makes the quadcopter does not offer a prop saver for the motor shafts. They use threaded motor shafts. The quad comes with APC props which have the same part number as the Gemfan so i figured they where just clones of the APC props, and they appeared to be but they lack the same quality / performance.

What experiences have you had with these props?

Lots, I've learned that they are better for outdoor use. You can smack grass at full throttle with very little chance of breakage, where other props (even the tough props) would deform. Now for indoors, that little flew from other props is better. These loose tips once they hit a solid surface.

I've sold a lot of the GemFan props and I use them myself. They seem to be quite popular and I really like them on my planes.
