Yes people have installed CF gear on the edge. Just do an image search on this thread and you should find what you are looking for. Let us know if you don't

sweet ride. I'm thinking of trading in my 3 series for a TDi Sportwagen if they ever come back in stock. Supposed to be this week.

I'm loving the TDi.

You could easily get 3x 48" in the back without the fold flat seats being down. With the seats down, extend that to 2-3 x 80"+ air frames

Did I mention its an excellent luxo-barge!

Yall take care. I saw on the news that they are expecting flash floods in St George, UT. I immediately thought of you. Hope everything turns out OK.

Good deal on your repairs BTW.

I have noticed that on balsa especially it likes to set up really quick. Often within seconds of applying it. Thin CA after the joiners are put together makes sense though.
Another reason I suggest using epoxy. Gives you time to adjust and shim if need be. Once set a little blue painters tape and let it sit for a while. CA does make sense though.

I'm not sure if heat or moving air affects it but I was working in my garage with a large fan blowing on me so maybe the air from the fan really made it set quickly?
I cna't remember which build it was, but one of them I was putting the rudder servo horn in and had put CA on both sides of the horn, went to insert it and it got about 1/2 way in before it cured. I was like OH NO!! generous doese of debonder and brute force and it came back out ... about 45 minutes later. Lesson learned, insert, adjust, apply thin CA.

So one of the first things I did this morning when I got up was glue the elevator control horn. Hehe.

I need to reveal more information as to how I cleared the slot. I has to get out my drill after I tried using debonder. I used a 1/16 drill bit and carefully cleared the slot again, very carefully.

Anyway I have been thinking about something else. Remember I mentioned how tight the fit was for the horizontal stab? Is it possible I installed this the wrong way up or something. I can't inspect it now, ain't at home. It is just bothering me that I if it is so tight, how are things gonna hold up on landing etc... Unless we are just talking about tolerances.

I realise this is a really dumb question and feel silly asking it.

I am excited as tonight I can carry on full steam ahead with the build.

Ok nevermind, I see the coloration now of the horizontal stab in some pics so I installed it correctly, I knew it was a silly question.

The fit of my H stab on my third Edge was very tight. Even after removing all the covering and doing some sanding on the slot I still ended up with about a 1/16 of an inch gap in the front. It made no difference. Both of the other 2 fit just fine.

Sure but you need to prop down to a 12x6 or similar.

Why not? 4S setup will draw less amps than 3S
