I had an issue with those c-clip. I broke shaft on one of my motors and asked turner on my work to make new one. He did it and we started to assemble motor with new shaft. When we tried to install c-clip it flew out and we couldn't find it for an hour. We looked for it everywhere: on the floor, on the shelfs, we found many things, missed before, but couldn't find those c-clip. Then came mechanic and asked as, what we were looking for. And we told him, that we were looking for c-clip. He immediatly put his hand into the turning lathe and took out c-clip and asked as, "This one?"
Definetely it's "Jesus clips"

With the Edge being lighter than the MXS this setup would turn it into a rocket. The 950kv version might be a bit overkill for 4s IMO.
If you go to Ken's motor page at Subsonicplanes there is a link to a video of a 3DHS 47" Velox (first version) running a 2820-950 on 4S. Its right under the description on the 2820 motors. The Velox is roughly the same size as the Edge so it may give you some idea about how powerful that combo is.

I've dropped a few of those Jesus screws. Heard them bounce off the concrete floor. I found them using my magnet rake all under my work bench.

I usually do OK with my plane parts... it's those dang heli parts that kill me! Just last night I was working on my 130x (tail servo died on me during some inverted forward flight... and for someone who is just learning to fly inverted circuits on a heli that will NEVER end well) and I must have dropped the small tail gear about 25 times and each time I had to get down on my hands and knees to find it.

To make matters worse... we have a new puppy in the house so when I get down on the floor all she wants to do is PLAY!

Motor problem solved it was the 1.5 mm set (or grub) screw on the prop adapter end of the housing. One tiny drop of blue loctite and we are good to go again. Added more lube to both bearings and checked everything else while I had it apart. Went ahead and dribbled more thin CA on the motor box while the cowl is off. Hope I can get another 160 or so flights out of this thing now. Still need to get theK2 graphics on my newest wings.

OK false alarm, still have the fore and aft slop when under power. There is a gap between the Jesus clip and the bearing. That is where the slop is coming from. Gonna take the clip off and ad a small flat washer or two then put the clip back on and then the collar.

I have said it before and it is official I'm an idiot! Was searching for the right sized flat washer when it dawned on me how stupid I am. I gave up my fruitless search for washers that I didn't need, loosened the set screw by the prop adapter again and while holding the motor together pressed the clip end of the shaft against my bench then re-tightened the set screw. Fixed! Tested under power a few minutes ago and yes it is indeed fixed.

Just for the record that is set screws not set screw. There are 2 at 90 degrees from each other on the prop adapter end of the Omega 130. Getting ready to give old girl a complete checkup and get the wings swapped out along with several other things I have been too busy/lazy to do. Light rain here until early afternoon and I have not received the "honey do" list for the weekend yet so no excuses.

Weather is still crappy so I am in a holding pattern as far as flying goes. Put the graphics from theK2 on my wings. Very nicely done on his part. They were very easy to install, but looking at the pictures I did a lousy job aligning them. Removed my gear again and replaced the wooden wedge since it was getting a bit loose. Snugged up the pull/pull cables for the second time. Also swapped out my tail wheel for the one from my blue Edge as the foam on it was about gone.

Oh no I killed the thread again. It quit raining around 4 and I was able to go fly 5 batteries at long last! Motor problems solved and the Edge flew like brand new. Last landing of the day was flight 101 for this Edge. Yeah I'm anal about logging my flights.

These were all I asked theK2 for. I believe he has more for the orange Edge. I know he did a Black and Decker themed set. I have a set of Team Hard 6.25'" logos on the way to go on the sides of the rear fuselage. Knowing me I get it all blinged out and I will crash it.

Here is a little 48 action from earlier. I was thinking the rudder might have been a little dirty so I rinsed it off a few times.
I was trying out a Protek 13x6 prop. It has less power than the apc 13x6.5 I just took off but then again its only a 13x6. The power is very smooth and she spools up quick much like Xoars. Great low and slow performance. Quality looks very good and it didnt take much to get it balanced. I figured I will run these on the really hot days to keep the amps down a little bit.
I'm headed out for a couple more flights in a few minutes.

http://www.teamhard.com/ they make a bunch of funny stuff. Check out the site for a few laughs. I thought the colors matched the Edge nicely. Guy at works has some of the more interesting ones on his truck and toolbox.

tominator06 great flying there bro. Double tail touch at about 1:40 was exciting.
