Put a new male Deans on the ESC and did some static tests with my power meter. Used 3 different batteries and was unable to get same loss of motor power I experienced yesterday. Was able to hold full throttle for about 20 seconds. This is about twice as long as I ever do in the air. Average watts was 498.2, amps was 46.1, forgot to write down the volts under load. All tests were with APC 14x7E. Only thing to do is fly it again and pray a bit.

However one of the addicts said they use 45A for everything and if the wire is small they just double the bare wire back on itself before crimping which sounds like a great method to me as you don't have to deal with multiple ends. The 15,30, and 35A ends all fit in the same plastic housings and mate with each other btw.

I may start building the plane today, hopefully it is something I can handle relatively easily. Never built a plane before.

Actually I will start right now, did you use a soldering iron when cutting out the holes, or just an exacto knife? I heard the blades on the knife will dull quite quickly, but something about taking a soldering iron to the plane (albeit briefly) scares me hehe.

I just use a exacto knife, but check where your cutting twice before you cut. change blades they dull quick.
