All on 3s 2200 running 13x6.5.... I have a 103g in my 47 SHP that I absolutely love the power of, some claim its just the motor I have.... I got an insane deal on the 2820 950 when 3DHS moved, so I installed it in a buck 1.5, (3s 2200) It sticks out very far even after being mounted straight to the firewall, seems to be a good match for my 1.5, nothing like my SHP... Just put a 2815 950 in my dads (72 yrs young) SHP... Very tame compared to my SHP with a 103g, I would be looking to rewind or something if it was in mine... We just installed a 130g in Elixir220's foam 48" extra, VERY nice on 3s. We do have a 2815 either the 850 or 1100 in a 48" extra foam that has crazy power on 4s, however the weight of the battery was to much and we didn't like the way it flew, so back to 3's for it...

So I think a 130g running 3s in a buck 1.5 would be spot on! Too each his own, but that's kinda our take with all the motor swapping and installs at my field over the last month...

My buck 1.5 has a new motor box and cowl because of a failed 65mg in the elevator.... I've lost a few in my small heli's as well. My FBL 450 Pro has 410's... My 71" Slick has 610's as well as my FBL Trex 550....

I have no grudge against the 65mg's, there great servo's and have served me well, I'm just enjoying my 410's now...

It's safe to say it's not a matter of if, but when.... And it may not be you, but some servo has let someone down some where.....

I have had 65s lock up on me but that was due to an abused gear. The 410s just burned up for no reason. The I got replacements and 2 if those died in 3 flights. Then I read that that had been an issue with those servos. So I rebuilt the heli again and put 65 in it and havent had an issue for I over 400 flights. Now as have2fly stated there are many that have had great success with the 410s. I think I got some that were built last minute on Friday then was sent a first thing on Monday set

65mg's are great servo's, I want to say you can find them at Todds Models for around $24... However I will be running Align 410's from now on in a airframe that would run 65mg. You can get them from $24, they are digital, metal gears and super fast! Love them in my heli's!

Just bought a set of 4 65MGs off eBay for $102 shipped. Maybe they'll get here in time for the weekend.

what servo horns are you guys using on the align ds410m's? i have one sitting in my servo pile thats has good gears. it would be nice to have it as a backup until i could get a replacement hs-65mg

Dang, coulda bought a prop too!

Had some time off this afternoon and got three FUN flights in. Skies were awesome to look up at and with little surface winds and 32°, it wasn't too bad for three back to back flights.

By the middle of the 3rd flight the left LG fairing came loose and was hanging by one end at the bottom, pointing back like a weather vane. I hammered on it in Tumbles, but it would not let go until the touchdown, then it fell off cause the tire rolled a little and caught it.

I clipped any level slow runs and trimming, messing around and cut it down to three flights of Hovers, Tumbles, some Rollers and KE passes.

3DHS 48 EDGE THREE FLIGHT COMPOSITE (7 min 50 sec)

Something I did on both my "Buck Huck" and "Buck Huck 1.5" is to cover the back of the fairings with orange Ultracote, which keeps them from coming off...

So I see that 3DHS is sold out of this bird. Have any of you ordered from EspritModels? I see it looks like they have one in stock. Any note on how quick their shipment is?

Also, are any of you using any bargain servos? Please dont bash on me here but I have had good bargain servos before. On my 41" Buck Huck I used EMax ES08MA (metal gear) in the tail and ES08A in the ailerons with zero issues until the mid-air (R.I.P). Would these also work in this plane?
