Who is this amazing pilot . . .

. . . who was able to land his model in exactly this position?

Extra credit if you can identify the model.

Greetings

Hey ATM (I "shop" there frequently),

I think Saturday looks a little better than Sunday. However, it must be said that JC-ACers are often oblivious to conditions around them and a small herd of them might turn up at almost any time.

I should also mention that one or two of the members has . . . um, er . . . "unique properties". So, for your first few outings with us you might want to avoid the guy with the hump who walks with a pronounced limp and will follow you around calling you, Master.

Having been forewarned as above, I expect you'll be on the lookout some of the other guys who don't quite fit into the "normal" category. Mohahaha!

Meeting Reminder

Just in case there is anyone out there in RCGroups-land that doesn't know - but needs/wants to know, our next meeting is at the field on Friday the 4th (the day before Cinco de Mayo - we will start the celebration early). Don't forget about the choir tryouts.

A hot time at the old field

Even though it was the first sweaty/hot day of the season - the flying was cool (poetical huh?) The brief rain shower served to raise the humidity just like it was July. But that only kept the flying down for a few minutes.

But the good news was that the wind slowly dropped down all day and finally shrunk down to nuttin. Then it was glider time as you can see by Larry's photos above. Robert hung a healthy motor on the club trainer and towed Larry's beautiful glider up several times. On one flight in particular that ten-footer just kept hanging up there. Then with the spoilers up the landings were sooo graceful.

In desperation we deployed a 26 gram, 21-inch DLG from a NutBall a couple of times. Fun to watch and something of a technical triumph (?) Its hard to explain, you just had to be there.

Thanks for the photos Larry.

Something of a technical triumph ? I hear that the micro release was going to be showcased on modern marvels . Not to mention used by the military for homeland security
