The timber is from discarded mahogany window frames, I have contacts in double glazing
companies they save the mahogany for me when they replace with UPVC, otherwise it would end up in a skip.

Thanks for all your comments, I will be posting pictures of each stage of the build, at
the moment I have fitted half the 46 ash ribs they have to be steamed with 11 rivets in each very time consuming.

I wanna cry!!!!

Looks like a couple of pieces of real Old Growth Mahog too!!

Well, at least now it is going to a good and noble purpose!! The thought of it just going to an incinerator or dump...

Hi Craig, it is sapele, well seasoned, I check the moisture content and just run through my planner thicknesser.

A lot of the timber I get is Utile much softer and not such a nice grain when
varnished but it all gets used for different parts, like you say its criminal to
dump.
