MSN hourly weather looks like Sat might be the best but windy. I will fly Saturday unless it's raining.

Yep, guess it was a couple days back when I last looked at forecast. Sat does now look to be the better day.

Uh oh. Weather not cooperating...

Windy today and forecast says rain tonight and all day tomorrow.

Then, for me -- I was supposed to be off this week, but have meetings Mon, Tues and Wed. Geez...

You missed a great day of flying, the weather was perfect.

Sorry about your interupted days off. I would recommend to fly before and after the meetings and then you will feel better about it.

power supply info

Hey all, good infor for cheap power supplies in Phoenix.

This is the place I got my 502 watt 41amp 12 volt power supply. I Jumped a few pins on the front, opened it up and removed the internal A/C ground on one of the power supplies, wired the outputs in series, Y-plugged the A/C input cord, built an inclosure and presto....24 volt 41 amp power supply.

http://www.southwestcomputersolutions.com/ You can go to their location in west phoenix and pick up if you want. They recycle computer gear. They are helpful on the phone also.

They also sell on E-bay and ship. This is how I bought mine. See the link and scroll down a little I got mine for $7.95 + shipping. these are the same ones feather Merchant uses. I copied the 3 pins that had to be soldered to activate them in lieu of the on off switch. Pretty easy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...E:L:OC:US:1123

I see a Dell 86GNR 900W Power Supply for PowerEdge 6650 for $13.95 I googled it and it looks like 72 Amps at 12 volts. You would just have to figure out what pins need to be jumped to activate it. Solder the output wires etc.

This one is 47 amps http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-406393-00...item519c5f2a99 $12.95 I think Feather Merchant uses this one also.

This is my setup.

Well that's not right, it's not a vacation day if you have to work!

So what's the thought for flying later this week? Maybe Friday?

If the weather is decent I'm sure I'll be out this week flying.

I'm pretty sure I could be convinced to go flying some day this week. It's not like I would get anything done at work anyway. Ok not Wednesday or Friday. So maybe Thursday.

I haven't been around much since I've been busy with Christmas stuff and then I went up to a field in Cave Creek to see if an 89" Slick would fit in my car (it barely doesn't). I will have some variant of larger airplane sometime in January...

I'll be out Tues for a bit, going to test out my Logo500 and see if some changes I made work out. Probably bring out the 70" Slick and 48" Edge for some fun as well. Don't know about Thurs as I'll probably be going to a work group lunch even though I'm on vacation.
