Why are the rear wheels angled inward?

I have a Traxxas Stampede and the rear wheels angle inward. I've noticed other Monster trucks with the same setup. There doesn't seem to be any adjustment, either. I assume there's a reason, but it escapes me. Can someone enlighten me?

Its called toe in (or toe out where the wheels point outward) -

Rear is typically fixed. On some MTs you can buy parts that change it.

Toe in on the rear helps the car drive out of the corners.

If you can imagine the outside tire taking most of the load because of the body roll and suspension compression this means that the rear tire with the most grip/thrust coming out of a corner is pointing in the direction of intended travel and not thru the berm if they had no toe.

Power off the car and turn the wheel hard to the right. Now push the car into the corner like its turning and you will see how the tire is pointing the way you want to go.

Thanks, I have to remember that. I'm always getting toe-in mixed up with caster/camber.
