Remember this is a hobby and we do this for fun; it should not be offensive to you that I posted up in here. We are all here to have some fun, I certainly did not join RCG to be haggled by forum police and internet drama

I rather offer it to SD pilots first; why are you so passionate about where people post? You are not a mod of this thread or of RCG, why do you feel it is your obligation to police other people's posts? It does nothing to improve other members' perspective of you.

As I said before, we are here for fun not politics. Go fly something and be happy, you will feel better after you do

Because all of your posts alert me that there is a new post in an otherwise interesting topic. So I come to the thread, hoping and expecting to find informative posts. Instead I see your crappy spam. Do you really think anyone wants to see that stuff? A different plane? Put that crap where it goes so we don't have to see it.

should you not comment on it, I wont respond... otherwise it is "Bing- 1 new post has been left by bsbauman"

no need for profanity, there are children on these sites. No need for anger or animosity either, your bickering is tiresome. The SD 50 is nearly identical to the 36, same company, distributor, design, just different scale- so why are you so insistent that this is not an appropriate place? Often on RCG I see persons post a plane they are selling in the thread section of the same plane.

Really it is no big deal, I would not get so worked up about it mike- have a happy day my angry friend

ok finally got to fly my SD36 with the turnigy c4260-600kv and 6s 5000 pack and
with the 13x8 prop , very happy with this setup , speed is quite good .

the data logger showed 122mph for a basically level flight with no dives and 138mph in a huge dive from 1350 feet.

I didn't have the data logger on last weekend but the 12x10 and 9x9 where quite a lot slower

the torque is really great , vertical speed is very impressive and take -off is instant so all in all a good set up for this plane finally

I find your experiance quite interesting. I would have thought that the sleek lines of this plane would tend to favor the higher pitched prop. However actual testing is THE WAY to find out for sure.

What were your watt readings on all three props?

I haven't put a watt meter on it , see if I can borrow one next time I fly it

I was surprised that the 13x8 was that fast , I don't know how accurate the data logger is ( was no wind at all ) though the speed seems to be about the same speed as my shoestring when its on 4s (8x8 and Hyperion ZS 3025-06 1287KV ) but the vertical performance is way faster

I think the 13x8 works well because the SD36 is quite a fat frontal area around cowl and also the fuselage is tall

anyway heaps of fun , might just be my new favourite plane, they do fly so nice

21days later...............new selection of props has arived at last!
Amongst others am initially testing 9x10, 9x9 & 10x10 on my E-flite Power25 1250kv.
Initial static tests show:
9x10 = 880w @62amps
9x9 = TBA
10x10 =1040w @ 77 amps
Have changed ESC up to a 70amp one and will test results today.

short bit of Video from my SD36 today , camera was a bit loose and rocking around a lot so bit shaky.

very windy day, I got a GPS data logger reading of 142.9MPH , however that's the speed over the ground so I am estimating a air speed around 125 MPH given the wind .

I love this plane now with this setup

sundowner 22nd july (2 min 30 sec)

With this electronics that engine and propeller would be the correct ones?

Hello friends!

I am interested in buying me the Sundowner 36 and taking advantage of part of the electronics that I have and this way to save myself a little. Since they are 1 HS-85MG for depth and the rest of controls HS-82MG. Also I possess a variator of 80amp and two lipos Polyquets 4S 2500 45C/90C.

With this electronics that engine and propeller would be the correct ones?

Thank you.
