As you had to add some lead, I wondered if it would be practical to just mount the motor on the other side of the firewall, with the shaft the other way round instead. It wouldn't look as neat but the wires couldn't rub, and it would balance at a lower weight.

I would guess the 2000Kv is a bit overpropped with an 8x5, even on a 2s lipo, so your 7.5x4 would be closer. I don't think it would be a great idea to use a 3s lipo with an 8x5 prop, as HK seems to suggest.
I was wondering whether to buy the PNF version. The only thing that really bothers me about it is access to the tail servos, which are quite likely to go wrong quickly, judging by some of the comments.

Hey Andy2No: To answer (very late): - Yes reversed shaft. I write about that earlier :-)
- You can't mount any other way really, but good idea!
- The lower KV version has less power capability. I matched to the prop by dropping battery voltage (went to 2S). Lighter battery benefit too.
